Play-Off Round seeding
All 15 teams involved in the Play-Off Round have a Uefa co-efficent - as shown in the table.

Play-Off Round ties will be determined, in part, by this number. The five teams with the highest Uefa co-efficient are seeded and matched against the five teams with the lowest Uefa co-efficient. This draw takes place on August, 7.

From the above co-efficient rankings, we know Arsenal definitely cannot face Olympique Lyon, Shakhtar Donetsk, Sporting Lisbon or Panathinaikos[SIZE=7] in the ‘Play Off Round’. (They are the five teams with the highest co-efficient).

But Arsenal could face one of the following: Stuttgart, Fiorentina, Atletico Madrid, Celtic, Anderlecht, Timisoura, Dinamo Mosco[SIZE=7]w.

Fiorentina, atletico and celtic dont sound like easy opponents to me, especially fiorentina hmm.gif Italy's and Spain's 4th teams are at the bottom tier of the ranking? hmm.gif Anyhow, it would be a great test for the lads flex.gif Show time Gunners!!! We have taken the back seat for 3-4 years now. Time to show them what we are actually made of flex.gif flex.gif flex.gif

about the injury....

QUOTE
Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky could be out for up to ‘5 to 6 weeks’, after the Czech international reportedly sustained a hamstring injury in training this morning.

According to radio station talkSPORT, Rosicky – who only recently returned from a long-term injury – will be missing for almost two months with the Arsenal press office revealing that the injury is currently being assessed.

The show’s host, former Gunner Ian Wright, said that a press conference has been planned for tomorrow afternoon, where Arsene Wenger is expected to tell the media how serious Rosicky’s ‘injury’ is.

At the moment talkSPORT are the ONLY media outlet to publish this news, so it’s recommended that Gooners’ take it with a pinch of salt until revealed by either Arsenal.com or Wenger himself.

Tomas did train at yesterday’s Members Day. He’s pictured jogging next to Nicklas Bendtner below.
Until i get confirmation from arsenal.com i will just remain positive smile.gif

Walcott - Injury scuppered my central role

QUOTE
Theo Walcott could have tasted life as Arsenal’s main striker if he hadn’t been struck down by injury last season.

The England star made a major breakthrough for Club and country in 2008/09 but spent most of the campaign stationed on the right flank.

Walcott is perfectly happy on the wing but has made no secret of his desire to play through the middle and emulate his boyhood hero Michael Owen.

Speaking at a Q&A for supporters at Members’ Day on Tuesday, Walcott revealed that fate denied him a chance to realise that ambition last term.

“The boss spoke to me last year and said I would get a chance up front but my shoulder injury [against Stoke] upset those plans,” he said.

I’d like to get a chance up front but for this team I’ll play anywhere.

“You never know what will happen but I am definitely ready to play up front if chosen.”

Lol this lad definitely knows how to win the fans' hearts. or at least he got mine. Sometimes, simple sentence like this is enough to woo the fans. There's no need with those badge kissing and stuff.

dammmm....now i can be bitter....wtf!!! we have barely kicked a ball but already lost 2 important players.....seriously at this rate, our attacking options arent really that plenty of choices...i used to wonder who would be our automatic selections for our midfield out of nasri, walcott, fab, rosicky, diaby, denilson, vela and arshavin... i guess, this will save AW from all the headache...silver lining, silver lining......
