small scar is still a scar. i see lots of improvements that can be made. all i can say is that we took our chances well. song was beast, vermaelen was rock except saha's goal. forwards can do better. all in all, BOOM start for the season. kimhoong if you're reading this, you wanted the season to start with one. well did you expect it to be THIS big? =)

we were super good at taking chances. as soon as we scored the 4th goal in the early second half, all confidence was knocked out from everton. it was a sure victory from then

standout players were:
-vermaelen (a goal, a thrashing victory. what a debut!) -fabregas (5 of the 6 goals we score were down to him. 2 of them were his goals, 3 of them were his assists. captain fabulous!) -bendtner (i thought his dribbles was cheap, but again he was brave and confident enough to do it. it led to the first goal as well! was never afraid to pull the trigger, unlike a certain hleb. if he works his dribbling and be like hleb i'll have a new white haired gunner favorite) -song (beast. need i say more? i was worried that we'll be out muscled by everton but hah) to a lesser extent, eduardo. welcome back to the team, welcome back to the league, and most importantly welcome back to the scoring sheet. it might be a cheap goal, but that's part of what he's supposed to do! now i was just wondering if we had our full squad... would it turn out to be this? |

fab's starting to put in more power in his shots. i think he's moving to be a proper world class midfielder this year.
and regarding arshavin, i think putting him wide to the left has reduced his efficiency. i prefer putting him in a bit more narrower left forward position. but then again, let's just see how he fares in that position for the next 5 games |
