No news yet. Leica lens are superb and specs for FZ35 fulfills 99% of my criteria, so I am really looking forward to it.
Fortunately someone I know will be in HK mid-Sept, so I should be able to get one soon... by hook or by crook.

Just bought it from wcs2798. Follow the link in his signature for pricing and more information.

First impression of the camera - user friendly but it has more features than my old Canon Powershot A70 so it will take time trying to navigate through it. Very light but bulky, so this is not your ordinary point & shoot camera. Test drive yielded average results but blame the camera man... I have not read the manual yet.

I have not tried, but from the list of software provided, nothing seem to imply that I could.

It is hazy out there so I can't take outdoor pictures. Here's a demo taken of this aquarium ornament under flourecent light at ISO 800. I think I took it at 8mp instead of the full 12mp, but megapixels doesn't really matter nowadays unless you intend to print it out on a huge poster.

100% crop from the above macro shot.

Bought mine last Saturday, and so far very impressed by its performance. Will upload some photos here later, but do check out the LUMIX group inside facebook.

IMO it depends on your requirement. If u need the versatility of long zooming (18x), HD movie recording with AVCHD Lite format, 12MPixels and better Optical Image Stabiliser (Power OIS), then opt for FZ35. But if u look more on wide angle shooting (24mm), hotshoe for external flashgun, F2.0 lens to shoot at higher shutter speed (better for low lighting photography), 10MPixels, expandability and pocketability, then better equip yourself with LX3 smile.gif

Hi everyone. I just got my fz35. Anyone of you registered the e warranty? Did you get 1 year or 2 years warranty?

yalo. some other cheap models also got 2 years warranty. i already phones them and email. phoning them is stupid because they just close my call only. now email requires me to scan the warranty card. i will follow up and inform you all. hopefully they can be fair to us.

but anyhow, i am very happy with this camera. But very confusing! especially when have not been shooting for many, many years! so many controls... luckily i buy a big tripod with this camera, very important and useful.

btw, anyone of you wanna share your shots?
hehe.
i am planning to shoot some photos tomorrow at my uni. hopefully the result are good enought to be placed here.

picture quality is ok. however is still far away from a dslr, especially in low light conditions. suprise that they are still using the same sized sensor from the previous model
