ok ive posted this in the interasia subforum but i just wanna post it again here... fan club ma
im just so happy with it that i wanna show off MUAHAHAHAHAHA nolah........actually i just wanted to share... i recently setup a HTPC about 2 weeks ago. heres the specs. AMD Sempron64 2500+ Asus K8N-E Deluxe Advanced Module 512mb DDR400 x1 Maxtor 40GB PATA HDD MSI FX5200 GC Samsung DVD Rom & Samsung CDRW Powerlogic 500w PSU Cheapo RM38 Wireless Mini KB & Mouse Linksys Wireless USB Adapter Edifer R501 MK-II connected to on-board audio (yeah yeah i know...but trust me...this mobo has excellent on board audio when paired with the r501) Panasonic 21" TV (Waiting for cash for a 29" or mebbe even a 34") Some brandless 4 or 5 year old beige ATX Casing this would be my 2nd unit for the r501. 1st one is still working excellently on my main rig. anyway.. the HTPC is awesome man.... i have to say the speakers are excellent. they work well with my setup. watching movies is so so nice. so those of u who are planning to setup a cheapo home theatre i would definitely recommend the r501. best bang for buck IMHO. i know i could get bettter sound with a better sound card... but trust me... this is good enough. no intentions of any upgrades... i even UV-fied the rig (pics can be seen HERE) yeah yeah...i was on 3 weeks leave and had nuttin better to do but of course... watching downloaded movies will vary depending on the encoding... some will have low volume some are alright. but its still a pleasure to just lie in bed n hear gunshots right behind your head loving it so much right now. muahahhaha QUOTE(vearn27 @ Dec 5 2005, 11:44 PM) Haha... thankx i dont know what ur workspace is like, but as for me all my 5 sats are on my table too... i even bought an L-shaped table just because i wanted to spread the sats out nicely. my space is kinda tight so it didnt really go as planned.... but it was seriously good enough due to the L-shape. actually worked out better than i expected. managed to save some space AND spread the sats out to give me a surround sound feel. and the subwoofer is a wonderful footstool Now all 5 sat. on my desk now ![]() This post has been edited by mADmAN: Dec 6 2005, 12:46 AM |

QUOTE(blackshirt @ Dec 6 2005, 11:16 AM) Regarding the burn-in software ah that I had downloaded from the link given.. izzit the +6dB mean setting the vol. set to '6' in da sub-woofer using da remote? Then let it run for 3 hours? How about software's vol. then? Need to put it max? There's a tips given to face the speakers face by face... what's for? I had only run for 2 hours so far... can run extra than the recommended 3 hours? Afraid if I might 'spoil' my newly bought babes |

I got my own reason, but that wouldn't degrade any of the performance, rite? Shift the drawers with my rig on to the left ah... It's better to be placed in such way now... shifting it might cause some problem |

well....forumers are saying that the sub should be more than 2 feet away from ur hdd... otherwise ur hdd will end up like john lennon....dead
hence the reason i suggested to move ur rig to the left of the table and leave ur sub on the right. |
