There are few things I can thing of..
1 - Get other receiver such as dreambox 500, can try a lot of nice feature. BUT I dont know whether dreambox already able to use astro GOLD card. I not into card sharing thing, just wanna use the receiver with my own card only.
2 - Get PCI DVB-S. Since I got HTPC connected to the TV all the time I think this also viable solution. BUT what kind of PCI card I need to use to be able to receive astro channel + where to put astro smartcard?
3 - Get a PAL - to - NTSC converter.. BUT does this thing exists, plus will drop any quality?

Are you using old astro decoder with component cable connected to you lcd tv? If that is the case most likely you will get black n white picture.
