Okay I know him and his coach. His name's Pat Mendez and his coach's John Broz. They live in Las Vegas.
He trains 14x a week. 2x a day, daily. His routine? Snatch and CNJ to maximum single. Drop and do sets and reps at maybe 95% or 80% or something. Then squat, till your legs fall off.

I wonder if that's why he's not ripped?

nice vid. those weights are insane!

somehow when people think about heading to the gym, they think about getting ripped and toned. they dont really care about functional strength/power. all of my friends just keep on nagging that my efforts of training in the gym are useless because i aint getting ripped. i dont really care. after months of serious training i'm able to bench 52.5kg, squat 70kg n deadlift 65kg. they aint big numbers, but i'm slowly progressing and not bothered if i'm "ripped" laugh.gif

alright, thanks for the tip biggrin.gif my biggest problem with my progress is my food intake rclxub.gif kinda hard to get in enough good food with a student budget. but i'll do my best!
