just now i tried dmc4 & assassin creed to get the load temp for 4570
i switch to hardware monitor in the middle of game (gpu-z cannot use)
and the temp is 96C then drop to 80C in less than 1sec
is it consider normal ATI gpu can sustain high temp right? i scare my laptop will be tortured by me until hardware failure

96 consider pretty high leh...

imo Dell sure ve tested it, but best if u can find ways to lower it...

90+C only reached if i push it to limit (i use the dmc4 LDK mode to stress it bcoz i dun have the other software right now)
i think it is still ok if i play for 1-2 hours
well, just hope ATI gpu really can sustain extreme temp as my fren said

well, oni cards that can run 3dmark06 will be benchmarked.... must have same standarts... cards that can't run it will be outdated cards lur.

i just bought a laptop. Its GC is GeForce 9600GM GT Turbocache which has around 2GB of RAM in it. I am aware that it is a mid-range GC but I just wondering how long it can 'tahan' before it is outdated? I can play Crysis on high setting though

high settings? what's ur reso?

what brand of laptop did you brought?

acer 6930g..high setting reso is 1366 x 768

your GC is quite good actually, plus it support DirectX10. i think its sufficient enough to survive for at least 2,3 years

I don't agree with you that it can last that long if he wants to continue playing upcoming games at nice settings. 9600GT is just a rebatch version of the 8 series just that it has DX10

hm....nimloth, pls post some screenies of the settings you use, and the fps you're getting.

6930G??? that's 9600M GT DDR2...

won't be able to last for another 3 yrs...

juz look at the benchmark and u know...

well mayb the spec differs a bit coz i bought this lappie from aussie..i am not sure about that..plus i am fully aware it is not the best u can get..i just wondering whether how long it can last by playing any games in decent setting..

ATI 4570 really fares a lot better than Nvidia G105M?
