Bro, I think there's something wrong with your reading. P8600 should give the same or superior performance to my T8300. Sure you weren't running on power saver mode or anything like that? 900 for your CPU score is too low, it should be approximately 2k.

And also, if possible you should try to use FRAPS to get framerates if you want to benchmark games. Otherwise it's subjective opinion. Some people are happy with 30FPS. Others demand 60. Only numbers don't lie.

And also, OEM drivers tend to be released very slowly. Try other sources for drivers, such as official ATI drivers.

edit: Damn my slow typing. Try to disable Intel SpeedStep.

sorry. the jump out thing was the CPU-Z not GPU-Z.

@blackmarket: Any chance your screen doesn't support that resolution?

@zorbyss: Make sure your lappy isn't on power saving mode, keep it plugged in, turn of Intel SpeedStep if you can. Otherwise you can use RMClock to do it, Google up a guide. It isn't too tough.

I think should unpin the old one and pin up the new one then.

Speedstep would automatically downclock the CPU when less resource is required, so as to reduce the power consumed...
