dulu terhegeh-hegeh muka tak malu minta air dengan org lain.
sudahlah murah, itu pun nak minta kurang lagi.
bila dah bagi, dah berjaya, sombong pulak.
memang dah perangai asli si keparat.
nak buat macam mana.

Why not if it has proven drinkable and clean for comsumption. Ppl even eat rodents, fried cockroaches etc...

i would rather drink from 'not so clean' water origin from river, tasik, kolam than drink from 'clean' water made of PEE!!! thinking of it makes me wanna puke eventho u claim it 99.99% clean. yuckieeee...

moreover, we can always buy our own water filter and filter the 'not so clean' natural resource water to become drinkable

cancelling the water contract benefits malaysia more than singapore anyway. At such a low price, it does not contribute to anything in Malaysia, in fact singapore is the one who purchase at such a low price and sell the water to citizen at a high price and earn a significant profit from there. Singapore does not need to depend on malaysia? Don't think so, without the water we provide, they will lose a significant amount of money for their government.

And before you say that singapore can sell the distilled water, cost wise they won't earn much from selling those water because of the high cost, so the end story, singapore STILL depend on Malaysia smile.gif

Last time, Singapore ask Malaysia to provide water to them so badly.

Now, Singapore can produce their own water themsleves through ocean water desaltation and NEWater. It is only waiting for the contract between SG and MY to expire before SG cancel the deal with MY forever.

Dont tell me about those NEWater raw material comes from shit water kind of nonsense, it is even more cleanner than those water in Malaysia.

Their technology of water desaltation from a company Hyflux is well-known all over the globe.

wrong

desalination and newater is only good for consumption supply. they still cant produce enough volume of water for bomba, irrigation, watering the plant and so on. if malaysia refuse to supply water they will die.

get your facts right first son!

This simply shows you are ignoring the facts. Then by your means how does singapore Government earn their money then? Tax is one, other than that?

Singapore purchase water from Malaysia for 3cent per 1000 gallon , and sells it to their citizen for $1.13 singaporean dollar per 1000 gallon, it's almost 100 times the purchase cost. Deducting the treatment cost, that would give them 50 times of profit per 1000 gallon of water which is a necessity for everyone in the country.

Please topic starter, before you start a debate, state proper point and facts.

I'm very curious as to what other method your Singapore Government earn their money until they are 'rich'.

Water from river have a high chances of faecal contamination as well, animal faeces, fishes etc. Are u sure the water u're drinking right now came from the sources u wanted them to?

Don't be ridiculous, we're going to drink from water recycled from ur so-called pee/shit watsoever as fresh water sources is declining. Just a matter of time. Dun wan drink? Go dai then lulz

That will cost more, as i don't think there is existing water infrastructure between Indonesia and Singapore

Whereas the link between SG and MAS was done during British era.
