duno how to check leh..coz after unlocking cannot detect core temp...
but if check cpu temp in bios,should be 50+
if using HW monitor,check TMPIN1?

Just tried 0928CPMW.
Modded bios 0617, ACC auto, HT link 1.6Ghz.
Boot into windows, but right after the windows login screen, black screen.

How about try increasing voltage?
CPU NB -
CPU Volt
NB Volt -
Reduce NB Frequency and try again

The above steps is only relevant to processors that can boot into windows? How bout processors which upon putting ACC to auto but can't even start up the comp? likely to have bad cores?

that step apply to any unstable unlock...cant boot but unstable and also cant boot at all...

there is one thing to try, set the multiplier x10.. to make ur clock speed run at 2.0ghz.. good for bad core..

cannot boot = bad core lor..

if can boot, most probably, high tdp, bad imc, low oc.. depend on luck

huuuu... sacrifice the speed for the cores...

not apply for some mobo sis...
my ta790 a3+ cant even boot with 10x ht link..

Didn't plug in speaker just now. It can reach to the Windows log in page where you have to type your password, after a few second, the pc reboot and freeze after the logo screen. Have to clear CMOS then.

However, if you asked "is my proc (system) going to be stable? Then I have to ask you to run PRIME95

Apparently there's a new modded BIOS for Biostar TA790GXE-128M based on 826 BIOS (the previous one was 617) to unlock the cores, located here, made by the same person who created the 'chinese modded bios'.

Anyone who is proficient in Chinese might want to help us translate on what has changed?

From all those replies, CnQ doesn't works in the new modded bios,
I think should wait for the TS to release new version.

There's another version posted here, few minutes away from the previous topic. You can translate these as well?

edit: CnQ already doesn't work when you increase the multiplier, so it doesn't really make much of a difference.

Based on official 804 bios.

My mistake, missed out on the E suffix there. I'll try that TA790GXE-128M BIOS this weekend to see if it works, currently using the 617 BIOS modded by the same person.
