i unlock core for amd x2. use mothrboard MSI 740-P25
But after done unlock core to amd x4. I cant enter my both window..

i have 2 window, xp and 7. all operation is 32 bit.. need help here.

please msg me.. please help!!!

athlon ii x3 440 maybe can.
athlon ii x2 255 i think is true dual core only.

Mine AMD PHENOM X2 555 BLACK EDITION.. Yes can unlock it.
How ever window cant open. After lock again than window can open.. How Come?? Please help me.

guess the locked core are unhealthy core.

exactly, athlon x3 use propus (x4) die w/ a core disabled, so there's a chance to get d disabled core unlocked. athlon x2 is on diff architecture where there are only 2 cores on d die, there's nothing more to be unlcoked.

try to force tri-core by selectin either one of 4 cores to be disabled in bios, if still not stable then it's obvious that d locked core(s) is/are not stable, eventhou they can be unlocked.

i also try disable the 4 core.

i unlock core1,core2,core3... but still cat go.. cant enter a window. I also try to format a new window, but still cant when to install new one..

amd disabled those locked core(s) for a reason, if they are stable after unlocked then good, if not just take it as it is (x2 bein an x2, x3 bein an x3). btw, amd didn't charge u extra rite? it's not like they're chargin u d price of x3/x4 for an x2/x3 no?

iirc ya bios should be like this:
core 0 always enabled
core 1, 2 & 3 are optional. try to disable 1 (obviously core 1, 2 or 3) core at a time while leavin others enabled, if u have tried all d combo still fail to get into windows, u mite as well forget bout gettin any "free" core.

at d end of d day, successfully unlocked not necessarily means stable.

success unlocker here...X2 555-->X4 B55..currently usin GIGABYTE MA785GT-UD3H board...overclocked to 3.82GhZ cooled by Zalman CNPS9900NT

740 chipset i try msi it cannot run well quad core cpu.u only use this mb to unlock sempron
it always hyper tranposrt error.nop suitable for quad core cpu.only x2 cam making well.
use only 770 or above to unlock x2 or above to stable brother!

success unlock X2 555be to B55x4 and overclock to 3.6Ghz, this using MSI 870A FUZION motherborad....

hey anyone can help with some suggestions? i'm able to unlock TRI cores at acc-2% with stock vcore and stock nbcore, HT link speed 1.6ghz and HT width at 16 bits.
any other suggestion to help me unlock 4th core without BSOD?

tried vcore +0.1 nbocer + 0.06 and acc - 12% with all cores enabled but still BSODed

what mobo? they way u set ur ht link is biostar 790gx..

if yes, then update ur bios to any newer that might able to unlock..

with modded bios from the rebel heaven forums...
did not flash with afudos, i used the windows bios utility =x

BSOD at windows loading screen...... is it OS problem?
using win 7 pro ahem version
i heard sometime some cores can unlock in xp but not win vista/7 or something...
