Anyone tested the leaked 2160 beta firmware? It is supposed to be able to bitstream HD audio and BDISO is also supported.

Most Pixar titles have lots of small M2TS files instead of 1 huge M2TS for the main movie....those BDISO wannabe players can go Holland for these titles. biggrin.gif

2) Add DTS-HD Master Audio pass-through support (Playon!HD decodes internally to PCM)

WTF does that mean? Bitstream? Or internally decoded and sent via LPCM ala PS3 fat? doh.gif

And still...no Dolby TrueHD. laugh.gif

I don't think it is a licensing issue, since Xtreamer can already do it.

if it can downmix TrueHD then it's one up against POHD...

means either DTS-MA or TrueHD still got audio sound..
while POHD and similar ones only have sound for DTS-MA (playing core track) and on trueHD track no sound at all..

Downmix = half-baked. No? laugh.gif

cannot be, cos WDTV live can't passthro DTS-MA.. (only TrueHD)
*
I heard WD didn't buy / don't have the license to bitstream DTS-HD MA. Same case like those Realtek players (except China mali ones)

What's the point can downmix trueHD but cannot play the lossless? Might as well use MKV.
