QUOTE(kopitiam @ Jul 30 2009, 07:46 PM) today went to a cave about 1 hour from kuching. wish i borrowed braynumb's 50mm. have a hard time with my kitlens, had to bump up the iso to 800 » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Use a 50mm, you don't be able to get a wide shot. That's why we use tripod at times Taken long long time ago at Gua Tempurung with SAL18250 + cheapo tripod.

albnok : Awesome detail explanation. Though I wasn't fully able to decipher the content.
achew : Nice feel of the pics.
Back to A850, quite excited with it and now makes me think twice of replacing my KM 28-75 which is a full frame lens. Just wondering how the ISO performance fare against A900, I suppose it's the same? I guess we just need for the real thing available and wait for experts review.

QUOTE(mcline_007 @ Aug 4 2009, 11:26 AM) so it is good for low light shoting.... Added on August 4, 2009, 11:42 amTAMRON LENS SP AF28-75mm F/2.8 & TAMRON LENS SP AF 17-50mm F/2.8. what is the different uh? i know the focal length is different. 17-50 is not FF capable (only for APS-C), where as 28-75 is FF capable (for both FF and APS-C).

Different APS-C camera has different type of crop ratio. Read more about APS-C here <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/APS-C>. It shows different crop ratio of different system.

QUOTE(soulfly @ Aug 10 2009, 11:16 AM) No... that was photoshopped. Yup, the link shows differently. But knowing Sony... I don't think they'll leave A850 alone without A800...

QUOTE(wufei @ Aug 14 2009, 11:25 AM) Hi guys Can you guys comment on this lens Sony SAL18250 Worth Buying? Added on August 14, 2009, 11:26 amwhy 16105? It's the best lens I have on my camera The only drawback is the end of 200mm+ focal length, with brightest aperture at f/6.3 which is dark; the sweet spot at that end would be at f/8.0. Good for travel. QUOTE(bennazis @ Aug 14 2009, 11:28 AM) got to REPOST coz no respond..hu3..sian2.. :-( hmm...one more thing..bout the 4GB cf card that i use for my a200...ambik gambr sampai 700++..then full already...is the format of your pix has sumthin to do with it?hmmm.. Depend on the quality you pick (Fine, Extra Fine, RAW, RAW + JPEG), and also the resolution megapixel. This post has been edited by wha7ever: Aug 14 2009, 11:33 AM
