honestly, yes.... it is a suicide plan... but if you have the money to splurge on your plan then why not? I've also been planning to do the same thing... but need to think of the consequences... dah jadi bapa ni susah sket nak upgrade-mengupgrade ni... if you're going to sell your beercan, do let me know k? hehehe...

QUOTE(Ksano @ Aug 5 2009, 09:30 AM)
ya la... If I buy a700 +50mm 1.8 ...
suddenly I will feel like... whooaa before this can zoom zoom (with beercan) suddenly need to zoom kaki to get the pictar  sweat.gif

but hell... even to find 2nd hand a700 kinda hard now... hurmmm...

well for sure a850 is out of my budget  laugh.gif
baby beercan is good, better than kit lens actually (in term of sharpness and built), but the range constraint 35-70mm is killing the effectiveness of the lens.. if you are in a tight space, u wouldn't want to use this lens at all... + minimum focus distance was like 1meter, (unless macro mode)

so what I can say is... these lens sacrifice its versatile for sharpness ..

you can refer moar at dyxum website
rclxub.gif  fikir fikir fikir  rclxub.gif

eh, what about your plan on getting the new kitlens? SAL1855 SAM? hehehe... should be a good one for a a700... after a while, you can splurge on either 16105/18250/1680Z... also looking to get a 16105 soon for the versatility... need it especially for events... lemme know when you're getting the a700... hehehe... tempted here... tongue.gif

welcome to the dilemma everyone here is facing... hehehe... wish we were all millionaires hehehe... for me, getting a 1680Z/1750 f2.8 is the best choice to replace the kitlens. might get the 1750 after I get a buyer for my 1870... hehehe...

Braynumb : Why need so many bodies for? LOL. Invest on better lenses 1st lo.
*
QUOTE(MemorableStudios @ Aug 5 2009, 01:40 PM)
always need 2 bodies for any shoots, especially weddings...
never know when you shutter will break, or accidents waiting to happen (fall, etc)...

anyway, already invested in SAL2470Z, if you can find something better than this, let me know, I am curious to find out... smile.gif
*
QUOTE(achew @ Aug 5 2009, 02:02 PM)
yea..i think 2 bodies for wedding would be very nice..can be each others' backup..and probably i would hook 1 with 2470..another with long prime 135mm or something.. =D  so i'd probably keep my a300...maybe just sell my cz1680.. TT_TT
*
Mo0: you question has been answered... hehehe... besides, got hired for some wedding jobs starting this december... need the extra body rather than changing lenses... on one body can use 1870 and the other using the 75300... saves time...

btw, got a question to ask.... my flash is really acting weird... as it the contacts doesn't even touch each other... and sometimes the camera detects the flash and then suddenly it doesn't... anyone else going through this? and way to fix it??
