u must got contact through the police to settle ur case.
malaysian police got many case like this and ur amount actually is not big. big for us here but still got big big cases to settle. find some of ur dad friend or what that got link to police. trust me u ll get nothing if u just waiting reply and hope from the police. this is a classic case of greed.
so damn happy and excited to get 5 e90's for rm3.8k... each set about rm760 eh? less than half the market price.. so TS got excited and didnt bother to insist on cod.. now he lost his money and his chances of getting it back is next to none.. this will surely not be a lesson to all as we have failed to learn from the bitter experience of others. another day, another con case. it never ends as long as greed exists in us humans. |

From now on yuo need to do alot of things, goto report police but scold and blah blah by police.. Goto see inspector, also give you a lession, say why you so careless, used your mind to think, is that reasonable.. you didnt see the news, every day the news alr report the cases and blah blah blah.. and then inspector will say this kind of cyber scamer cannot be found because they used or rent other people IC to scam. The people who rent their IC is know the rules of the games, they know will of our malaysia rules, due to this holes is not yet recover, scamer in malaysia can speed up their business by challenge human behaviour in whatever area, the most safety places is the place like EBxy, lYT, LLONG and so on. After see inspector then he show you to the court, you require to fill 3 set of forms, one is for you, one is for the offices, and the last one is for the scamer (by posting or directly hand up to him), the officer will give you a date of judgement, but if the scammer didnt show up then this cases will unlimited delay, 1 time 2 time untill infinity (when you feel tire on it then you will stop, and your energy come again then continues), This games is, if the scamer not show up the this games will continues.. after 6 months, they can used a new IC to scam people again.. because those "small case" is ignore by our country.. and many international scamer from other country like nigxria, chxnx, taxwan and so on, try to share their cup of tea. so the solutions is, try to show up this issus to our country since many people is been scam, malaysia is that kind of country that "ignore if that is no incidents happen". ok, until this point. |

Please allow me to drop my opinion here. Actually, ppl will get con is because of the word called "GREEDY"( most of them ) . Just for an example that 1 product market price is RM1000, have a seller offer you with RM500 but cannot COD with you, or even don't have any picture to show you, why you till can trust him? You trust him just because you think that the price for you , you have "earn a-lot" if you buy it , or you can sell it for earn a HUGE profit ! Thats why i say, you are get conned just because you "GREEDY" . Common sense tell us, if the seller really have such 'bargain' to sell, why not he just snap all the photo and put it here to sell? I bet his topic and product will be like a hot cake ! If the market price of his product has a used value at RM800, why he don't ust sell it at RM700 for get more money instead of selling you RM500 for losing RM200 every phone you get? Am i right? He selling in LYN topic can easily let it go at RM700 or RM650, why he still wanna sell it to you as you just pay him RM500 per phone? Get what i mean? Just like the Nokia E90: RM3'800 / 5 Units = RM760 Per Nokia E90. Seriously, i am selling used phone in here too, RM760 even E71 also can't get after currency converted. So it's impossible to have a E90 for just RM760 . For Nokia E90, the cheaper price i get for today is SG$505 . Mean RM1'165 +/- after converted to MY Ringgit. Don't forget, this is my cost. So mean i will sell it in my topic at RM1'200 or below. This is still the cheapest price currently in LYN. Ppl are still selling RM1250 above currently. Let's take RM1200 is the current market price for E90, why not he selling Rm1000 at here ??? He can earn RM240 extra per unit than sell it to you . 5 x RM240 = RM1'200 Extra !!! Why he want to treat you so good for selling to you at this price? Understand what i mean? Rm1'000 for nokia E90, it's cheapest in malaysia ! I don;t think he can't sell it out in short time ! (017 should be under Maxis, if not, Maxis should know where this Tan switch to, Digi or Celcom) The mobile service provider should have his information, address, even the IC (if they claim they dun have, they already violate the regulation, pre/post paid mobile must be registered with IC or valid documentation) When u get his IC, go to bank where u deposited $ to, go straight to branch manager, tell him to inform the bank account owner to refund the money... threaten the branch manager, if they dun do it, u will ask police to instruct them. Same time also bring the IC or whatever documants u get from Maxis to police. U cannot wait for them to act fast for u. sometimes u need to do some homework for them. Lastly, SMS the scammer, tell him that you will send his name, phone no, bank account no, photos etc to the complaint column of all newspapers, let everybody see his face. Maybe Michael Chang of MCA can also arrange press conference, by then, he will be the next most famous person in Malaysia. you gotta threaten that SOB. |

i open [WTB] thread in mobile phone section and later got alot of offer from seller here in lowyat. and i was looking forward to COD only, since it involve big amount of money.. suddenly i remember got one number suddenly sms me offer iphone at relatively cheap price. around rm1700 for iphone 3g 8gig. well.. it is very2 good offer i got at the time, and he said it is a maxis set... but he sms me late at night.. i already sleep la... but surprisingly he aggressively called me, lots of time, but i didnt answered his call.... well something fishy la, he does looks so desperate to sell... WHY??? but as i said, i was looking forward to COD only, since the amount is not little.. and some more quite risky to post iphone.. later come to me rosak pulak. but when i read this thread, i remember him... because he really2 wants to "sell", call u like crazy... so far deal with lots of seller in lowyat, no seller so desperate like that. lucky i didnt get conned by this desperate con man |

wow this guy(0169003916) want to cheat me today...last night call me wan swap my k800i with his nokia 5730...he ask me top up rm400...i said ok...but i said i only top up after i got reference no...then today i googled his phone no and found this thread...i open maybank2u already...jz now he called i told him about his phone no on scammers list and he said his phone kena curik...WTF!!he said he cant speak fluent english also...and he said hes from penang...BEWARE GUYS!!!this guy also said hes a pilot and got family...agresively call me many times...after i reject after knowing hes a scammer he still msg me...this guy juz doesnt know when to give up

The 2012 Regulations were issued under s.150 of the Consumer Protection Act 1999 (Consumer Protection Act). The Consumer Protection Act did not originally apply to electronic trade. In 2007, the Consumer Protection Act was amended to include electronic trading. While this amendment provided protection to consumers who traded online, the 2012 Regulations goes one step further by imposing obligations on online business suppliers and online marketplace operators to take certain steps to protect the interests of consumers. OVERVIEW The 2012 Regulations apply to any person who operates a business through a website or an online marketplace for the purpose of supplying goods or services (Online Business Supplier) and any person who provides an online marketplace (Online Marketplace Operator). An ‘online marketplace’ refers to a website where goods or services are marketed by third parties for the purpose of trade. ONLINE BUSINESS SUPPLIERS Online Business Suppliers are required to:- 1. Disclose the following information on the website or online marketplace where the business is conducted: Their names (either the name of the owner, business or company) The registration number of the business or company, if applicable The email address and telephone number, or address of the online business supplier A description of the main characteristics of the goods or services The full price of the goods or services, including transportation costs, taxes and any other costs The method of payment The terms and conditions of the sale The estimated time of delivery of the goods or services to the buyer A failure to disclose the foregoing information is an offence. Additionally, any person who discloses or provides information that he knows or has reason to believe is false or misleading also commits an offence; 2. Provide appropriate means to enable the buyer to rectify any errors prior to the confirmation of the order made by the buyer; and 3. Acknowledge receipt of the order to the buyer without undue delay. ONLINE MARKETPLACE OPERATORS Online Marketplace Operators are required to take reasonable steps to keep and maintain a record of the names, telephone numbers and address of the person who supplies goods or services in the online marketplace for a period of two years. OFFENCES and PENALTIES Any Online Business Supplier or Online Marketplace Operator who fails to comply with the 2012 Regulations commits an offence. A Magistrates Court may try the offence and impose punishment for such offence. Any person will, on conviction, be liable to a fine of up to RM50,000 or to imprisonment up to three years or both, and for a second or subsequent offence the person will be liable to a fine of up to RM100,000 or to imprisonment up to five years or both. If the offence is committed by a company, it will, on conviction, be liable to a fine of up to RM100,000, and for a second or subsequent offence a fine of up to RM200,000. An additional fine of up to RM1,000 will be imposed on any person or company for each day for which the offence continues after the conviction. Aside from the criminal penalties above, an aggrieved consumer may also lodge a claim with the Tribunal for Consumer Complaints for civil remedies against errant online traders. CONCLUSION The 2012 Regulations create transparency by requiring Online Business Suppliers to disclose their key details and Online Marketplace Operators to keep a record of those details. This makes Online Business Suppliers readily and easily identifiable. In the event of loss or fraud suffered by a consumer, it will be easier to track down and lodge a complaint against the perpetrator. The 2012 Regulations also give certainty as to the description of goods and services, pricing, terms and conditions, method of payment and time of delivery. This in turn will increase consumers’ confidence in online buying. With the 2012 Regulations coming into operation on July 1, 2013, Online Business Suppliers and Online Marketplace Operators must now start to take steps to comply. The 2012 Regulations should therefore improve consumer protection online as well as encourage the development of electronic trading in the country. With online shopping slowly taking over traditional shopping, the 2012 Regulations will likely be warmly welcomed by consumers.
