Have you go to mobile service provider? (017 should be under Maxis, if not, Maxis should know where this Tan switch to, Digi or Celcom) The mobile service provider should have his information, address, even the IC (if they claim they dun have, they already violate the regulation, pre/post paid mobile must be registered with IC or valid documentation)

When u get his IC, go to bank where u deposited $ to, go straight to branch manager, tell him to inform the bank account owner to refund the money... threaten the branch manager, if they dun do it, u will ask police to instruct them.

Same time also bring the IC or whatever documants u get from Maxis to police. U cannot wait for them to act fast for u. sometimes u need to do some homework for them.

Lastly, SMS the scammer, tell him that you will send his name, phone no, bank account no, photos etc to the complaint column of all newspapers, let everybody see his face. Maybe Michael Chang of MCA can also arrange press conference, by then, he will be the next most famous person in Malaysia. you gotta threaten that SOB.
