i just bought the myself the new macbook white.
this is my first apple machine ever so just wanna ask a newbie question here.
i didnt see any port that might be able to connect my mbw to the projector cable.
any solution to this.
and another thing, the cable ac plug that they give me seems like US version one.not the typical 3-pin headed that we all malaysian use daily.do i need to pay extra to get one?

you should have a extender cable with uk plug and a uk plug head, exchangeable to US type

to connect to projector, you need this
http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB572Z/A...mco=MTA4MzU1NDg

you can get cheaper if you browse thru ebay, remember, it is mini displayport to VGA

hey guys, thanks for the help.really appreciate.didnt know such thing existed tongue.gif
anyway, ive never used ebay before, so dun really know how that might work in my case..will try to browse here in lowyat tho to buy one

anyway, thanks again ya..
im so looking forward to my next apple machine..will really ikat my perut till i get enough cash for my imac later!! icon_rolleyes.gif

You bought it from a shop? That's weird that they didn't include the proper power plug. If so, I would go back and ask for it.

If you bought it from someone on eBay or whatever, then you're on your own.

I bought my MacBook while visiting the US since it was so much cheaper there. I just use a WonPro power plug adapter I bought for RM12 in Low Yat. This arrangement has been working for many years without a problem. Cheaper than trying to get a replacement power cord if you'd have to buy it.
*
i bought it from "the switch"...
if u are serious about bringing back the unit and getting the ac power plug changed (without my head being chopped off), then i will be there within this few day....

thanks tho for the info..hopefully somebody had@have done this before

I think:
13" could have speed and hdd bump.

15" and 17" will have i5 and i7 as custom.

sorry, some misleading info there..im using mb white latest updated version.i have no idea tho....does that mean good or something?

QUOTE(dvlzplayground @ Jan 15 2010, 02:36 PM)
that's really weird...all macbooks sold in malaysia have the 3-pin plug. u should go back and ask for it. the US adapter should be included as well.
*
realllY?/
i better check the box again.but if im not mistaken, this one really 2pin plug only...
am i the only one at the lost here sad.gif

i m thinking to buy Macbook white... need some advise regarding it... should i buy now or wait after 26 January?
*
i think u should just buy it now...
if u do think of buying on the 26th, i doubt ull get it that fast albeit the latest model already out....its malaysia for a matter of fact...
my 2cents anyway
anyhow, that is the reason why i buy my mb white straight away tho....

Owh, for those who want current line MBP, just wait for clearance stock after this or get even demo unit at cheap price..

at Sapura, MMU, iMac 24" demo unit price is just RM3.8k after iMac 27" out =)
*
good idea..then i will wait till the next iteration of imac for the 27" then drool.gif
