Dear All,
After all this years of playing windows on dtops, laptops and netbooks I am jumping back to MAC OS and pondering to purchase a MAcbook Pro 13.3 2.26 alu body at RM4099. This price is before edu discount rite? So after discount actually paying about RM3.9k only?

Let me know via PM Tink, Will PM u when I decide to buy. Now studying zero free instalment plans with my CC companies to make purchase probably in Nov or Dec latest. QUOTE(davidmak @ Oct 16 2009, 12:41 AM) I wanted to enroll into that program too since I'm with the university institution doing post graduate but I was put off since we had to order online and miss all the experience of getting one off the retail stores. Hahaha... we'll see how it goes. Dave, If buying online can gives you the edu discount why not, u save 'bout RM400 coz shipping is free, as for me do not really care 'bout the experience of getting it from a store. With the savings you can get iworks and what not. I just check with my CC that I can do zero instalment for this purchase so will take the plunge next month (good birthday present) or December (awesome Christmas present) Added on October 16, 2009, 10:34 amQUOTE(tinkerbel @ Oct 16 2009, 10:26 AM) @davidmak, U don't really need to "enrol" into the program. @MattJ, Just PM me when you finally decide to make the decision `k. The stuff I want is not really urgent, perse. It's just the 'discount' that I'm after Tink, Don't worry. Will PM u soonest I wanna order. This post has been edited by MattJ: Oct 16 2009, 10:34 AM

Dave,
Understand your argument. The zero free instalment is ok since you do not pay interest. Don't mind paying credit for something I can used for that period of time. Having said that, I usually settled in full after a while when dapat bonus. That CC is not even used atm. I usually used it for this kind of purchase only.

Was tempted by the machines offer for the old previous generation macbook white at rm2999, but thinking seriously of either the MBP or the new white macbook with education discount online. Which should I opt for, the new white macbook or the MBP. Specs wise are more or less the same. Thinking of using for at least 2 years and buying in Jan 2010.

Dear All,
Need some help before I purchase my MBP tomorrow. Is 2gb ram good enough for surfing, occasional gaming such as left for dead, video and movie watching, Itunes and Blackberry as well as office work at home? Also what about hard disk space, is 160gb enough or I can upgrade cheaper outside myself for both ram and hard disk later when I have money. Thanks

Thanks all for the feedback. Ordered my MBP 13.3 2.26ghz via Apple Online just now. Will upgrade later myself the hardisk and ram when needed and after warranty expires. Was torn between the macbook white and this but decided to go for the MBP for its form factor and slightly less weight compared to MBW. Also saw somebody trying to sell off his MBW after a few days and upgrading to MBP, I would not wanna be in that situation. Just got a call from my credit card company on approval. Woohoo Mac here I come...........Actually this has been on my wishlist for quite some time so its like a dream come true.

Got my MBP 2.26ghz today and setting it up now. Side by side with my office HP6510b it is damn fast and connecting to a wifi is seamless. Luckily I bought the MBP and not the MBW, would wanna regret later. Posting using safari now. Great piece of machine.

Sorry bro no ill intention by my statement. What I meant was that I always g=fancy the alu body of the MBP, but not impressed by the price so the MBW is a good alternative, but my heart says MBP, so I just close my eyes and take the plunge and get the MBP. Sweet. If money fall from the sky I'll buy a MBW for my missus as well since we are already using iphones and a host of other apple products.

QUOTE(dvlzplayground @ Jan 4 2010, 07:15 PM) why cant she have a MBP as well? If a lot of money fall from the sky, I don't mind getting a higher spec Macbook 13 for myself and give this baby to her. Seriously thinking of getting a Dell 13 in online at RM1699 for her. Actually I got her one Dell 8.9in netbook but it is conquered by my daughter....

Dear All, Sorry for asking some noobie questions 1) How do I move my itunes library (MP3) from my HP laptop to my MBP. Can I Copy and paste using an external hardisk or there is a better way? 2) Also for my other important apps such as casio photo app, blackberry desktop, and what not, do I need to setup again using their original CDs? Thanks for the help
