hi, just bought my K40AB in sunway 2 days ago and i installed xp and followed the steps provided by these two line in the first page.

"If you have difficulty installing XP, read this guide

Driver download:

Download latest driver for K40AB/K50AB from ASUS here"

please bear with me as its my first time installing...

do i need to download the Mobility HD 4570 driver DNA modded driver? even after i already installed the VGA driver provided by ASUS? (i also installed the CCC found in the VGA driver folder).

and GothFebrio, regarding your post #2084 on warcraft 3 fix. if i dun have the mobility modded will it work?

and lastly do i really need to install the modded driver.. cos i dont know its real function..

sorry if this is answered in earlier post.. i read till 30+ and all was talking about heat problem which i find perfectly OK! my sis Acer is worse...

Kucingfight, when you say one driver at a time.. is the vga driver by asus considered as one?

and the "mobility mod" you're saying is the link that will get me to "http://www.driverheaven.net/modtool.php" is it? quite confused.. lol

btw. for those who are still looking to buy, i payed RM1950.00, cash (26/09/09) for my K40AB(320GB HDD, no OS)
with no "free-gifts". Just the basic laptop, bag and mouse.

evernew shop in sunway, not sure its a good deal but the guys there was helpfull
