QUOTE(ayil @ Jul 21 2009, 01:25 PM) walao, so hot? i've nver experienced more than 75'c on my own laptop -.-! That's why I am worry that this k40ab also will experience this problem, long period of high temperature = leading the motherboard to failure in no time.

So far does anyone experience high temperature with this laptop while playing game?
Will it lag when it reach certain temp? My friend' Compaq v3700(AMD) after playing dota for 30mins even-though gpu temp stay at 81 degree, if no laptop cooler, it can easily hit 90 degree and lag until can't play dota at all.

QUOTE(Najmods @ Jul 24 2009, 05:16 PM) Thank you for replying to him, I got lazy with all this AMD-hot nonsense, I got tons of PM that I'm too lazy to reply regarding this. Simple answer to guys who afraid of heat-stroke, if you want to play game buy a desktop. Simple as that, buying laptop ALWAYS have a downside, I use my laptop to play old games that I loved, like Red Alert 2, Medal of Honor and Call of Duty About the processor, you can change it by yourself, if you can find where to buy, and voiding the warranty in the process Sorry, I am asking because I am not very familiar with AMD laptop's performance and most of the time I hear that it is VERY HOT, I don't play heavy games, just l4d or The Sims 3.

QUOTE(astria @ Jul 26 2009, 05:50 PM) i really doubt it will go any lower... it's already very cheap... If a lot of competitor, price will go down a bit I guess. See who start the war first...

QUOTE(chun @ Jul 29 2009, 04:46 PM) Hi, I'm considering this ASUS k40AB and also the Acer 4736G (Current price of RM2299 with intel) I understand the graphic performance if better on the Asus, but My main concern if the tech Support/ warranty provided by them. I just went to a computer shop just know and asked about these 2 brands (acer & asus), he told me: " although a lot of forum condemn Acer, but that's because there are a lot more Acer users than other brands, hence if you estimate 1% of the machines got problem there will be a lot (in numbers) already. therefore more ppl complaint about them... Acer has more service centres... Asus warranty minimum takes 6 weeks " Just want to get some opinions from you Asus owners as to what you think about the statement above and what do you personally think about the tech support level of Asus? TQ TQ TQ Asus warranty take 6 weeks at least??? Anyone can confirm this?
