for overclocking try ClockGen for CPU, Rivatuner for GPU, and i8kfangui for Fan speed.

try some googling for the method i dont know much on others cause i'm only using Rivaturner.

yes still valid. only invalid for the parts you have changed.

But there is one situation where your notebook spoil results of you upgrading you system by our own that one i'm not sure.

no it wont melt, when it reach certain temperature, the bios will downclock your clock speed.
