Line is crashing every 30 minutes. Suddenly you realize that your connection has been dropped. I don't know what kind of surfing this is when you have to reset your modem every now and then.

I've been using this same IP for 4 days now. Pity I lost it in just 2 hours ago (4 crashes!)

Speeds are good for most sites except CN/HK/TW.

HTTP downloads are on full speed.

I have a 1MB Dedicated PPPoA line which is suffering as well.

From what I can tell, the routing has been changed for all international traffic. The new route is severely overloaded, so we are experiencing extra hops, and huge amounts of packet loss.

I do not think this is caused by a break in a cable, as the issue first appeared a few days ago, went away, and returned. The cable would have had to break, get fixed, and break again for this story to be true.

It seems to me that TM is currently undergoing changes in infrastructure and, therefore, re-routing all users to an unaffected path. Not only does this unaffected path have extra hops, but it's also overloaded. Hence, we see higher pings, packet loss, and HEC Errors.

i've been pinging an US server since yesterday for about 20hours now

since monday, the ping hits 2000ms for 30seconds every 10minutes or so, then yesterday afternoon it sorta 'improved' to every 15-20minutes
now it still give a spike once in a while, but that doesnt hinder much on the surfing as much as monday's connection

a good way to make tmnet screamyx technician hate his jobs....

1.call tm screamyx to call them come repair your problem with any reliable excuses. esp, when screamyx downline.
2.call them to come everytime u meet problem in connect to internet,even a small problem like unable to connect to china,hk,us..etc.
3.more often u call, they will more and more busy.
4.dont just complain at this tread, call them to take a look your connection problem.
