btw, nokia flash light issue causing washed out night photo is true(sometime u will find out ur photo tends to be brighter(white) at left side.....)  , i read bout this in oversea review forum.....and i experienced this b4....

nope in my case. my N73 never have this problem b4.

pls check your lens today, to see if there are any scratched at ur lens, this possibly causing the washed out effect on ur photo....

I didn't buy invisible shield in the 1st place because I read some reviews saying that it has an orange peel effect, dunno what that really means actually, lol.

Anyone using vista and connect to N97 via bluetooth? There are three unknown device after I connect mine, anyone has driver?

The unread message icon keep blinking at the right hand top corner despite i had all messages read. I even deleted all msgs but still appear.
Could it be voicemail unread or any solution for this ?

Rather less visible an issue, poor GPS reception is the biggest showstopper for owners, with Ovi Maps becoming just about unusable. The problem is not with the antenna itself (shown below for interest sake), but with the way electronic interference from the N97's PCB degrades the GPS signals being received.
The official fix is to install a new antenna, with an additional shield near the point where it attaches to the main PCB. Correctly installed at the service centre, GPS signals are then improved by "2 to 4dB" and this makes all the difference in the world - I was able to navigate a 30 mile journey with no a single loss of GPS lock and with faultless directions.

How to tell if your N97 has the old, unshielded design: You'll know - Nokia Maps/Ovi Maps will be useless in navigation mode - the lock will be lost very frequently. With the latest Ovi Maps 3.3 beta, you'll be spared this message but your reported position will be badly delayed. If Nokia Maps/Ovi Maps are working fine then relax, you've already got the new design.

received info from some blogger. Nokia delayed the release until 16th Oct due to the reasons below:

* RAM memory leak, when opening browser or music player
* Devices freezing

Anyway don't hope too much. Just upgrade whenever the firmware is there.

Eh i dunno whether u guys know this or not.

But there is a way to increase FM transmitter radius by 5x - 10x range.

Just take your USB cable and plug it in and enable, and try in car. You won't hear any buzzing sound anymore

FYI : it did not consume more power , FM transmitter have the optimal power for it, but Nokia reduce the radius I guess not to affect other car / radio.

Have anyone try using the cable to charge their phone before? Surprising the same cable can charge my i8910 but not N97 (not using laptop or desktop)

Anybody knows if this hardware fix for GPS by Nokia applies to us Malaysians ?
