ok guys, so fa so good with the update, i only could tell the UI response is improving and also the browser doesnt lag for now. The touch response is improving as well. Others i havent yet to find out. Maybe you should try it. And im writing here also using the phone.

the kinetic scroll when browsing the internet is improved! The old version were very sluggish and now its better.

maybe you're using same product code like me. If you cant wait, u can try change the product code(refer to my previous post) for update.

The GPS Garmin locked alot faster then the previous version. Took less then 1 minute to lock then 5-15 minutes (from the previous firmware) tongue.gif

Honestly, can't find it. But some do mention what you've said; "void warranty" <--I'm aware of that. but there are others who suggest revert to the old product code. In this forum, people mention it depends on the authorized dealer. Err, I dunno.

Seriously, no one mention NCC will use some sort software for detecting product code modifications. Haven't find it though through google.

Test it... Yes. Locked alot quicker then the previous firmware. Less then 1 minute. smile.gif

Added on August 20, 2009, 5:05 pmGPS locked using sattelite signal. It depend on the A-GPS (or GPS?) hardware in your phone. But I heard N97 GPS sucks abit (maybe its improved on V12 firmware version).

You can only update over the PC ...
to check is ur phone update available, dun use *#0000# .. it wont show u any update ... you have to go into ur application -> SW update .. from there you can check is ur update available and any others update ... hope this help else dun shoot me =)

As far as I know, SW Update only update the existing application and not the firmware.

Seriously not so much improvement. Just GPS locked quicker, UI response quicker, some bug fix, battery life expand a little then the previous firmware, touch response improved, delay for alarm reduce from 5 minute to 2 minute. sweat.gif

I don't think it have to do with widget. I got lots of widget install but nothing happen. I think you need to do soft format to solve the problem.

It depends. But from what you've said, it's best you go for nokia since you're using nokia for ages and you feel like continue using it. It's the same with me, I've changed from Nokia to Motorola and revert back to Nokia and swear never gonna user Motorola because I've been using nokia for ages already which already suits with me. smile.gif
