=) i m a very experience N series used firmware issue i nt really care =) bugs/GUI errors etcs idc ! wat i care is the lens scratch... tat 1 wont fix by firmware update its the main reason holding me back.. anyway i damn addicted to white N97 lol... i dreaming it everyday.. but still leak of guts to buy coz the len scratch is terrible problem..

Are you using N97 black? From what I know, black have more problem than the white one. etc etc sliding key, misaligned screen/front camera, charging led light very dim.

Any ref for your claim?.. 45 days is a bit too long hahaha some people are expecting Nokia to have worldwide update like Apple

Just got my Black N97 2 days ago & have some question here:

Video Recording - Have anyone experienced blueish horizontal lines while recording & play back? The blue lines are very obvious especially when i record in a darker environment.

Garmin xt - Can't input  symbols like / - using the touch screen. It will stuck at the symbol input screen & i cant exit the screen unless i open my keyboard where the Cancel/OK options available.

Guitar Rock game - no sound

Keylock slider - not working when the phone was auto locked. I cant unlock the phone no matter what i pressed or even opening my keyboard. Cant Off my phone too. Got to remove my battery & put it back to have the screen active again. I googled & found that many people experienced the same problem. Some suggested setting the autolock period to 2 mins.

Music player - does anyone knows how to stop the music during playback? Funny this N97 player doesn't have a Stop icon comparing to my older phone 5320xm. All I can do is just pause the music. Or is there any better music player available for download?

Does anyone have any opinion to my questions? Currently my software version is v11.0.021.

At Nokia World Nokia showcased the v20 firmware for the Nokia N97, the same firmware that the N97 Mini will ship with. If you’ve not been able to catch up with all the buzz surrounding the firmware, here is a small recap:

- Kinetic Scrolling throughout the device - yes I said throughout, in every list.

- More free RAM and better RAM management.

- Greater Internal storage.

- Long press for symbols/numbers on the keyboard.

- Improved GPS performance

- New shortcuts, pre-installed Ovi Contacts and so on.

- The firmware is expected to be made available sometime this month.

The real joy for me is the kinetic scrolling implementation which will improve the usability tremendously, I am also looking forward to seeing more stability while all the other improvements will be a huge bonus.To give you a better idea of what to expect from the v20 firmware, have a look at the video embedded below. lol,btw i wanna ask the white colour n97 easy to get dirty?coz those salesgirl and salesman said quite easy to get dirty.

i got one colleague who is so eagerly to have the new firmware. This morning, i found out 2 issue with the phone.
1) When received sms, message tone will be heard but the screen still in Power save mode.
2) I charge the phone since last night and today morning, still charging.
