Just want to know others got such prob or not.
I realized when i use loud speaker, my friend told me is hard to hear and it will like lagging. Stop then listen then stop. I try to put the phone near to me also the same.
Wondering is my phone prob or not or network. But if i use normal one then is ok.

STUTTGART (Germany): Nokia is aiming to reach the many, not the few, with its rich portfolio of services, said Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, president and chief executive officer of Nokia.

“We are doing this through an increasing number of open partnerships with world leaders in many fields,” he said at the Nokia World '09 conference.

One such partnership that Nokia believes would bring tremendous potential is the one between Nokia and Microsoft, which aims to bring the Microsoft Office suite to Symbian devices.

The other pact is between the Finnish mobile phone giant and Facebook to integrate the social networking service into the Nokia N97 mini. With the “lifecasting” feature, users can publish their location and status updates directly to their Facebook account from the home screen of a mobile device.

According to Nokia, lifecasting goes beyond just publishing your status updates — it is about building deeper and closer connections between people. It triggers new kinds of communication patterns such as sending messages or status updates or even navigating to a friend or a place.

“Social location or the So-Lo concept is a reality. The phrase ‘where are you?’ is as significant as ‘how are you?,’ ” Kallasvuo said.

During the keynote address, Kallasvuo said there are more than 55 million active users of Nokia services worldwide. By 2012, Nokia hopes to reach 300 million users.

The company’s Ovi Store is also gaining momentum as 27 operators are currently providing integrated billing services in eight countries. And more than one million Ovi Mail accounts have been activated in the past six months, Nokia claimed.

Another service, Nokia Life Tools, has been popular in India. Looking at its success, there are plans to expand this service to other markets, he said.

He also added that the Nokia N97 and Nokia 5800 have sold more than 10 million units in 10 months.

On the new gadgets, Kallasvuo claimed that the Nokia N900 is designed to offer the best mobile web browsing ever. The N900 runs on Maemo 5, a Linux-based operating system that Nokia said offers more functionalities than other smartphone operating systems. — SUBASHINI SELVARATNAM

firstly id like to say a big woooohoooo! Coz im writing this from my n97, love it.

Anyway, id just like to know if anyones tried some of the screen protectors out there and recoomend some, coz some shops told me they'd make the screen appear dark once applied. Is this true,

(my default protector already have some minor scratches due to scrolling, hehe)

yeap,  i surf very often since getting the phone, imo its better  ergonomically than the 3gs, abt the page button, ive found if you double tap it it'll magnify the sreen and hence button pressing is somewhat easier,

i've compared my n97 and my 5800.. seems to be 5800 speakers are much better.. in other side.. n97 gps , locked fast like hell.. i open garmin take only 10-15 seconds to lock , where my 5800 take around 3 minutes , sometimes even 10 minutes.. touch responsive on n97 much better , and for sure the camera on n97 are better than the idiot 5800 cam.. lol

so my conclusion is , i'm very satisfied to upgrade to n97 from 5800..

my gps on n97, v11 locks on within seconds, if not, max 10 seconds, but i use data plan, and i use A-gps, probably thats why?

anyhow, gps locking depends on your last position locked on as well, it kind of memorises where u locked on last, and search for your fix from there.. so if ur last locked on was at london, it may take an hour before it reaches your current position i think, that is why on garmin, while it is searching for a valid fix, u can actually put in new position, its like telling the gps where ur rough position is, then it locks on slightly faster..

this only applicable to those who do not use A-gps, cause with A-gps, it locks on within seconds.

and yeah.. awaiting eagerly for v12, or v2.0.. makes me drool

Hi Leo, that will involved first hack your phone then have access to 101F8809.txt file inside Z:\Private\10202be9\ folder.
You need to edit this file etc...

However, there's another easier way to do this automatically, just by installing the patch.
It's no good for me to send the file here, so maybe you go to Google and enter CenRep101F8809 to search for the SIS file and more information.

Install the file, then edit your Profile to Disable Warning Tone.
That it is, by the way, the red-light beside the lens will still flashes whenever photo is taken.

What I did was create a new Profile called Mute Cam so it is easier to change Profile than always edit the Warning Tone.
I need the Warning Tone to be notify of SMS delivery report and other events.
