What utility do you use to set the vcore, ratios and FSB ??
Do you do it in the BIOS or use the AMD Overdrive utility ?

QUOTE(askm3 @ Sep 18 2009, 10:09 AM) my pc is on 24/7 for downloading.. i installed 1 fan in there.. Sorry, Off topic, to save power, I use my NAS open 24/7, DLINK DNS-323 with 500Gb hard disk with Transmission (linux bit torrent client ) and a web or window Transmission gui client to view/control the torrent downloads.. so no need to keep the PC on 24/7..30% air conditioning 30% fan 40% no fan/air cond will my pc explode? |

I read a lot of online articles.. I am still a bit confused about the relation between the following : Bus Speed, HT Link, Multiplier & memory speed :-
CPU speed = multiplier x Bus Speed ( mine is 14 x 200Mhz = 2800Mhz ) HT Link = 2000 Mhz.. Memory Speed = 667 x 2 = 1333Mhz When I increase say bus speed from 200 to 205, I notice the memory speed also increases.. What is the relation between the bus speed, memory speed & HT Link as they are somehow related to each other.. mobo : ASUS M4A785TD-V cpu : Phenom II X3 720 BE ram : 2 x GB DDR3 1333Mhz Corsair XMS3 Thanks This post has been edited by stan001: Sep 20 2009, 02:04 PM |
