then i got a problem that starting to bum me out.
I already change my mobo and ram
but still fail prime95 blend test

with everything on stock 1 core will fail within 2-3 min,the other 2 will keep running.(1.280 vcore,1.85 vdimm(800mhz),Chipset and HT voltage on 1.2v)

so i tired to bum the voltage(1.35 vcore,2.1 vdimm(1066mhz),chipset and HT on 1.3v) its only a little bum
but the pc wont even get past the bios.it would load back the default setting.

i'm trying to pin point the problem here.so far i changed mobo and ram
now i'm thinking maybe its the processor or PSU

help would be greatly appreciated.

Disconnect all...and i mean all your PC components...CPU, Mobo, Rams, Fans, HDD etc...

Then Prepare the Mobo, CPU, Ram (1 stick only) CPU n HDD.... Other stuff no need to connect...but CPU heatsink n fan dont forget lorr...

In Bios; use this settings...

Overclock Navigator: Manual Overclock

CPU/HT Reference Clock Mhz : 200
CPU Config : Auto
PCIE/ATIG Ref Clock :100
SB Ref Clock :100
Spread Spectrum: Off

Under the CPU/VID Control

Custom P-State: Enable

Core FID : (x13.5 for 2.7ghz)
Core DID : Divide by 1
Core VID : 1.3v
NB Frequency : 1800

Voltage Config

All make default except DDR voltage +2.0v (your highest DDR +v value)

Memory Clock

Memory Clock Mode : Manual

Mem Value : 800Mhz

Below settings all auto.

Try that, save restart, then boot into windows.... see what happens...

Run Prime, choose blend with 4 Priority...

i get the feeling that the ram is running a bit too hot
thats why it failed prime

or maybe i should just run memtest

i'm doing it now
seems to be fine if i occupy 1 slot

but the moment i put both, prime would instantly fail

did i miss something at the bios setting ?

thanks for the diagnose technique,i'm able to pin point whats wrong.
the first dimm is faulty. so i move the ram to the second dimm
primed like a charm.

but this is where it gets messed up again.
prime failed when i bump the rams to 1066mhz

i only messed with the ram voltage tho.
2.1 to 2.2v
but both setting failed in prime

the first 2 slot can even run on 800mhz without prime failing, let alone 1066mhz

so i move both ram to the second 2 slot which can run 800mhz without failing prime.
only problem is it cannot run 1066mhz.

so yeah.both is correct.

Added on July 20, 2009, 4:24 amwhich is NB voltage ?
chipset or HT ?

once i set 1066.
computer would post,but failed prime

CPU vcore :1.280v
DDR voltage:2.144v
Chip voltage:1.184v
HT voltage:1.200v

should i bump chip and ht voltage to 1.4v ?
that seems like a leap in voltage

and i couldn't find the setting for tRFC

i did found tRFC0,tRFC1,tRFC2,tRFC3 and the options are 75ns,105ns,127.5ns,195ns,327.5ns
