The last time I "kissed" a car was on the highway, bumper to bumper jam. Got a bit too close and ended with a soft thud. The dude in front was looking frantically through his back mirror wondering what happened. I turned my head to the side and pretended nothing happened. Nothing happened.

MyRAWK's league season started today... we drew 2-2 against a team that went down to 10-man after the dude hurled a cursing insult in front of the ref!

Our gameplay was quite chaotic - some of the members were suggesting that the team needs to play another friendly so that all the fellas can get in a chance to know each other.

If LYN is interested, we could -tentatively- do a game this coming weekend. It's Deepavali on Saturday, so the league games -may- be called off. Not sure about that yet, but will re-confirm.

Wow, awesome bunch of early birds here. Great enthusiasm from Waile who wants to start at 6am. Sorry la, we can't get into the field that time coz the security guards would still be asleep.

We're trying to arrange for the ref on our side.

Sorry doggy, your boots are gone case. Better go buy new one. Better still, steal from Khai.

With Glozz in centerback, you DON'T need an offside trap. Heck, you don't even need keepers!

Good play-by-play commentary, Naz! Very good performance from LYN; although MyRAWK stole some of your "bintang" players like Khai, Aaron and Oscar - LYN could've carved out a win! Kena tiang so many times.

Very hard to comment on the numerous offside calls, since we played without a proper linesman. But like Naz says... it sort of evens itself out.

QUOTE(waile @ Oct 18 2009, 08:32 AM)
and sorry for the penalty claim which was hotly contested. i thot mikeT has resigned to fact that he has conceded a penalty.

I didn't argue because Teddy looked like he was about to explode and shoot thunderbolts out from his eyes! Btw Teddy is quite good as a striker. Has the built and ability to hold the ball on his own. Gave our backline some troubled moments... with enough matches he could turn out to be LYN's newly unearthed young talent!

On a related subject - if you are interested in your awesome action shots yesterday, the pictures are up on Facebook. Add me if you haven't done so already!

Ehh sorry guys leave me out of tomorrow's game. Think I may have overexerted myself with the never ending futsal/football/workouts.

The outside of the left knee hurts when I bend it... any of you experienced similar issues?

Hahaha many thanks for the instant diagnosis! Good to know we have a bunch of quack doctors here never short of advise on injuries!

I've done some basic Google search, and it seems like an IT Band thing. Any coincidences to my IT career is unintended, and also has nothing to do with music! Apparently it's an overuse condition, usually experienced with sports that have a lot of impact / movement on the knees, eg runners, cyclists and footballers.

oldman - What did you do to heal it? For me so far it'll be icing a few times a day, and to probably rest for the next week or so.

glozz - It's not a sharp pain. Just feel it when the knees are bent. Doesn't really hurt when applying pressure.

Hey listen guys I need your SUPPORT on this one!

My company is organizing a futsal tourney on 29th November - it's a fund-raising event to increase awareness on Fair Trade and to highlight the work that our artisans do. Funds raised from the event will be channeled directly to support the artisans.

We're looking for teams to take part - both social and company teams. We're also seeking sponsors in monetary or products for the prizes.

WHAT I NEED

It'd be great if you can get your company team involved in either way. I'd be glad to speak to your boss / persons-in-charge - so any recommendations would be helpful. Thanks!!!

The website: www.elevyn.com/futsal

WHAT YOU GET

A chance to help out an awesome friend on an equally awesome event, do your bit in alleviating poverty, plus more importantly, LOADS of karma points!!!

Btw guys, many thanks for the support. It put a tear in my eye and a drop in my pants.
Let's try and get 2 teams from LYN in... I'll check with MyRAWK to see if they can send in a team, or do a combo LYN-MyRAWK side.

Everybody take note! Ben has a hidden key! But probably stuck somewhere we don't want to know. Too bad - was about to suggest that you share a bed with Mohan. AND wear his clothes! Hahaha!

lipkhin,
Ok, will remove your name and replace.

Mike and the rest,
Looking at how the guys are pulling out, lets just make do with 1 team first. Coz i don't know how many more will pullout. BTW, how many teams are you expecting on 29th November?
We're targetting 12-16 men's teams, and 8 women's.

Dude, try give a call to Ben after you finish work tomorrow to see what the plans are. Sometimes he's not online so may not have a chance to update on the activities here. Phone call always the best.
