pls do not get the 5800 nokia. i used for less than 1 mth sold it off. i sold of to a fren and later after 2-3 mth usage, the screen went KO but stillunder warranty.

bad camera, slow processor, OS not mature...etc

go for jet. but read some where after someone used 7 mths, screen went kaput too

probably those who owns this phone might not agree with me.

to me, i am still holding on to buy this phone is due to wait for latest phone f/w update, which is here d

the other is h/w issue. sorry guys, to me, some how samsung phones gives me the impression that it will not last even how careful u take care of it

OMGoodness! Samsung Wave is coming soon, HTC releasing a string of Touch screen phones -and it's NOT WinMO - Wohooo!!!! Hmmm, shld i Still get the jet? Other phones have super Amoled, 720p recording, have an OS (Bada, Android..anything but WinMO) which can have future upgrades and application and 1GHZ micropro. But they would all be pricey and may take a looong time to hit our shore

1. love the smart unlock
2. with the new f/w - very smooth touch

BAD
1. Samsung PC studio crap - cannot install on Vista and XP machine? Pls suggest.
2. No auto keypad lock customize timer - but can live with that
3. Vibration setting and motion gate are just gimmick
4. No "Send message" option on the the miss call event (just "Call back" and "Exit")
5. no Smart dialling but knew that earlier

Worried about battery life.

Started using since 7/March 7am and I didn't use that extensively. now, (8/March, 3pm), 3/5 bars left

hopefully batt gets better as i charge it

i read the post. hehe, every phone seller say charge 8 hrs for the 1st time hehe, i followed.

anyway, this is a full touch screen and it will draw power a lot. but Amoled suppose to use less power consumption.

other thing u might want to do is don't use 3G, use GSM 900/1800

also, i turn off the vibration/haptic feedback

and you might want to decrease the brightness

up till today, 2/5 bar after 2 days with minimal usage - mostly setting up the phone.

this phone has toooooooooo many customization until it's tiring to do so. I set caller ringtone for Group in Normal Profile and I MUST set the same for other profile (meeting, outdoor..)- i thot it would be connected thru out the profiles

anyway, still a great phone.

wifi, find a bit annoying, i connet to website and it turn on the wifi by itself and if it cannot detect/connect to a wifi, it stays on forever. sometimes u forget, wifi is always on. suggestion??

battery died after 3 days of useage - minimum.

hope the battery will improve as it charge/discharge

i found out that the vibration is not good, except for Silent profile where u can set the vibration intensity.

so, in other profile, u will miss a call if ur ringtone is not loud enuff.

- still happens on new firmware as I got the jet 1 week ago (probably need to get an external miscro SD as someone suggested. I saw IT hypermarket selling Toshiba 2GB for RM25
- the aboev happen to me when my battery bar is showing one. Coincidence?- after full re charge and i try to reproduce this bug, it does not appear anymore - dunno lar...maybe battery to low cannot do multitaskng lio -hehe

- battery life really sucks, i dunno why u guys claim it is good

- in lock mode, when the someone calls, i pick up the phone, and after phone call conversation is over, it does not lock itself (good to have)

- vibration intensity not strong other than in Silent profile

-overall, good phone lar
