oops...i missed 1 word...
what i meant was how do i register to get a forex account if i want to get started? frm your reply i think it's thru a broker? smile.gif

Normally you need I/C & utility bill submit to the broker. If you're still new in forex, i suggest you learn forex from babypips.com/school first before you consider to open any account.

Don't be a victim

Added on December 15, 2009, 8:05 amForex expo event closed by BNM? Anyone heard the news?
*
Yes, i been there on 12th, that time still don't know what happened and the registration counter seems like don't want to disclose anything about the reason of cancellation, they just keep telling the customer "I don't know". Then later my friend told me about BNM take action then only i realised BNM already warned & prohibited the forex broker advertise on newspaper, magazine & so on. My friend told me it is because some of the brokers there do local exchange currency to help clients deposit money to them to earn the exchange rate without directly deposit to the oversea broker, BNM disallowed this action. Here the news from oriental newspaper 8th Dec 09:-

Thanks for the info dude.

What will happen if one day government disallow Malaysian to trade forex, even though we open account with oversea broker, possible for this to happen?
*
I got the same thought but this may happen. I'm afraid that one day all brokers around the world disallowed Malaysian to deposit money to them because of BNM rule, then Malaysia nothing different like old day China Soviet Union.

95% of traders lost money, and 5% make money

It is ok to lost money....it is just the matter how long you will put your effort in forex trading...I guess most of them will give up less than 1 year.

have to agree, 'it is just the matter how long you will put your effort in forex trading...I guess most of them will give up less than 1 year', back to the drawing board for me  vmad.gif

You must comprehend why some of them can't last long for more than a year, are they greedy? Emotional? Or without a consistent trading method? I can say most of them greedy enough when they see they're in huge floating profit, this made them open even larger lot size for next time. If they see huge floating loss, emotional came, this will lead them open larger lot size to recover the losing trades, if they're successful recovered them, this even worse to make them greedy to repeat the same method as what they're doing.

So emotional + greedy are difficult to eliminate from a trader. You need to have discipline to control all of your trades, discipline like a god who helps to eliminate the greedy (devil). Can you do this?
