So far one guy signed up smile.gif I'm thinking of the first session to take place this Friday night at Bukit Jambul (my place). I have both the xbox and pc version though I'd prefer the xbox on TV and wider living room rather than the PC.

Anyone else interested please send me a pm and I'll give you the details.

Again, only those that genuinely wants some casual play and learning experience should apply. Attitudes and win-at-all-cost types... please stay with your online sessions smile.gif I just don't want any drama at home heh..
*
here are the usual guidelines for offline sessions:

1. Do not place the PS3 + lcd tv + Xbox/PC + LCD monitor all under one multiple plug ( you heard of the term blackout? )
2. IF you ask people to be keep it low after 12am, it doesn't includes of eating random Raging Demons shock and Scream out of your lungs.
3. Google maps pinpoint to your house is 10 times better than handling phone call one by one to lead people in your place.
4. Mineral Water and 100plus seems to be the energy drink for an occasion like this.
5. make sure everyone gets their equal play, elimination matches are better if most have same skillz and if have 2 different setups, will be better.
6. make sure there will be enough sticks, those who want to use pads, its nice to bring their own pads.
7. no oily food should be served to prevent oily sticks and pads.
8. make sure everyone take off any shining metal objects from their wrist ( watches, chains ) to prevent scratching the sticks.
9. those who asked for a rematch while losing badly isn't called attitude, its called ''i almost get it so pls let me play 1 more match'
10. Don't invite scrubs that talk too much but cannot perform in a match and blamed it on your buttons, your pad and even worst, your pc.
11. there is slight different in combo time for ps3 and pc version so if you're confident on ps3, play on the ps3 ones.
12. don't invite me because i will SPD anything that moves.

hahah just my 2cents.

Added you and Zangief82, look forward to matches.

Also Zangief82,

What's the difference between combo timing on PC and PS3?

Thanks.
*
well if you play on ps3, some find the combo link are little bit slower in PC version..

take for example, if you are using PS3 to do your usual Ryu basic combo cr.lp x3 --> SRK, you might sometime miss the timing because its a little bit lag in PC.

well im not sure but alot of ppl noted out that they do find the difference.. For a gief player like me...it doesn't really matters! hahaha

can this game play within player itself? such as using 2 keyboard? or lan?
*
yes you can use keyboard as player 1 ( in pc..keyboard must always be player 1 )
game pads, sticks and hey even guitar hero drumkit if you want! (not sure how to move)

and then again palying with 2 keyboards is still possible one using the keyboard WSAD, and one using 4586 or up,down, left, right.

but if you love the game...a rm20 Chinabrand gamepad won't sweat right?

yeah ..Cross Platform...i don't mind its from Sony, Windows, GGPO or who ever...just let PC, PS3, Xbox, and hopefully one day Arcades to be linked together for matches.

now its like different triads societies of fighters where each claimed to be more better than the others..
but cannot fight together...

thats why i still like offline matches.. GUYS..online is good. but i think you can only improve better with offline matches because you know what you did wrong, ur friends can teach you to headbutt use lighthand!, that move cannot link one!, oi! don't berserk..go turtle abit.., T*u! You blind one ah! you where got Super bar! do that for what!.

lol..

and then fighting offline matches in small groups of 4 is also a good way to improve..you get to fight him and win/lose and every round you can ask your opponent..how should i counter this instead of figuring it yourselves all the time.

remember the real motto...Losing is the biggest training, you might get frustrated or demoralized, but in the end you smile by telling yourself.. if i can lose to him..thats means if i cover up those mistakes..you will be better.

i play Medium mode. Seth is still considered difficult. biggrin.gif

so far my only Char that nearly beat time 1st try was Sagat. I only lost because he suddenly release power on the final round when his health was less than 7mm. arggghh. Next round beat already.

beating him with Cammy and C.viper was surprisingly easy too.

if you keep attacking him and lose, just try defending and counter-hit when he's doing his stuff.
*
well, exploring the players best normals..and spam that on SETH.sure win..

bison - hk
zangief - heavy kick, mid punch
chunli - heavy punch, low sweep

etc.

This is going to be very sad news for the Japanese community; no arcade release for SSF4:

http://www.eventhubs.com/news/2009/sep/29/...ter-4/#comments

I'm worried that we will not be able to see good Japanese matches starting next year. sad.gif

Looks like if the Japanese community wants to continue the arcade tradition, they will have to use a console (ps3 or xbox 360) in their arcade cabinet machines just like how we do it in Malaysia hehe.

::edit::
IINM there is a new footage with gameplay footage of Deejay here, havent watched it myself thx to the slow office internet connection:

*
T-Hawk and Deejay is So damn yaoyeng.. i will use Thawk..THawk grabbing FTW! ( might change my nick from Thwallochi to Thawkochi lol )

headbutt is not what i think that makes thawk..

its the air headbutt down..watching the match post by juzjoe on thawk and juri ..the speed for the air headbutt is enormously fast.!

if can perform like yun/rufus/cammy then to thawk's ultra...GG..GG
what zangief lack of is speed.
i see this thawk isn't slow..but then the ultra is not that much damage compared to gief's.

but then again, thawk still fit my play style..

Added on October 1, 2009, 4:29 pmHi ,
Anyone can tell me where got sell SF4 Original for PC and the price is ?
I wanna play online ~~~
*
Remember Pc version only allows keyboard to set as the 1st Player..then controller must set to 2nd player.. ( this only applies if you are going for Versus mode.
if you are playing alone...you can use the advice given by BKtay (sounds delicious)

Alan! thanks for the Tag Team Tournament! it was a wonderful and happy event..those who didnt join.. next time try to take part.. Not often you can get experience like this.
You can really understand when 2 average players can turn into one strong team, the various matchups and the both players might cover each other's weakness, let your teammate help you beat characters you cannot beat, and you do the same for him.

The best part is when i lost the first match, My teammate ( BEN HONDA ) have to beat both players in order to win, and watching your teammate beat them is just so much fun, relief and you get to see where are your mistakes, and how he overcomes it with his Char, both doing the same with each other.

In this Tournament i've applied most of my training and put to use. Using it in the tournament and using it in Training room is 2 different thing, so i gladly declared...

Zangief 7.0 flex.gif ( Still Beta Version )

Hopefully by the time SSFIV is launched, my Zangief can go to complete version. hahah

Added on October 8, 2009, 12:17 amAll the way..Original is only worth buying for games that can age.
like SFIV you its really beautiful to play online/offline Arcade games using only a console/PC with internet connection?

back in those days we have to insert coin to play games like these.

Guys heres the latest SFIV Char Tier chart.

October 2009 Tier Rankings for Street Fighter IV

You'll find a chart below showing roughly who would win how many games out of 10 if two high-level players of equal skill played against each other using the characters shown.

For example, M. Bison (Dictator) would win 6 games out of 10 against Crimson Viper. And Sagat would win 7 games out of 10 against Zangief.

Note: All of the names below are based off of the American release of the game. Balrog is the Boxer, Vega is Claw and so on.

this is copy and translated from a japan site. take it as a loose guide bcos i never beliv in Tiers but believes in Style..
