playing weights work. but the stick would become unbalanced if you are not careful.

it's actually more of a STREET FIGHTER IV even than a PS3 event.

QUOTE(blurjoey @ Jul 30 2009, 10:37 PM) I want to check with you guys. What AV and firewall you all using and which Windows? AVG free 8.0.I'm using Vista Ultimate 64bit with BitDefender Internet Security 2008 (GFWL cannot sign in) then change to BitDefender Internet Security 2009 (can sign in but Vista 64bit will hang in less than 30 minutes if idle but on Vista 32bit its working fine!) This is getting frustrating. I'm on vista 32Bit. QUOTE(boogalogist @ Jul 30 2009, 11:01 PM) Good games with Alvin earlier!! I need more exposure in the Sakura match up. I don't even know what move crosses up! yeah i know about my habit in FAing. One thing to note though, you're spamming too way much FA. Alert guys will definitely punish that. I'm still looking for a way in baiting with it effectively. i am aware of bison's safe knee press range, but at the same time i am also trying to bait unsafe knee press by doing FA>back step at times. i'm still in the process in learning the other character's move set. so a lot of the time i FA to experiment what's punishable and what's not. and yes, nice game with you, there were so much fun that i didnt really wanted to stop, too bad you had to leave =( QUOTE(boogalogist @ Jul 31 2009, 08:52 AM) Sorry for leaving the game abruptly, Alvin. Wife was already nagging beside me. thanks for your Bison tips! they will be very valuable to me!Questions: - - is Sakura's ground EX tatsu safe? - which button do you use for jump in attack cross up? - the reset after the EX tatsu, is it frame advantage or disadvantage for Sakura? Tips: - - After blocking headstomp, if Bison tries to do skulldiver follow-up, you can do Bison's Ultra to counter before the skulldiver even hits. - After blocking EX HHS, you have very few frames to escape a Ochio throw, by either jumping or doing a move with start up invulnerability. - After blocking normal HHS, most Honda will do st.hk (I know I do). If you're a risk taker, you can do ultra. - Honda's light and EX headbutt is not punishable on block (unless there are some characters out there that I don't know about). here are the answers to your questions. Sakura's ex tatsu is half safe. it get can hit by any fast start up move with good range, like bison's light knee press. however it keeps a good distance on bloack, if you try to do any normal move, i have enough frames to block, or back step. but beware of what you do, becoz if you press something not fast enough and i press lk, and you eat it, it's gonna lead into another ex tatsu. you get hit by a c.mk when you do something reckless, it's gonna lead into another ex tatsu as well, or a heavy shouken. but, if you catch me pressing stuffs with a move with invulnerable start up frames, you can punish me heavily. if my opponent do not move after blocking ex tatsu, sometimes i will throw a lk. sometimes i will do a cross up. sakura has 3 cross up hits. the main one is j.lk, which has to hit below shoulder to combo into somehting, and becoz it hits low and the follow up landing hit is a c.lk, these 2 hits are very hard to be blocked clean. best solution: sakura floats, so you always have time to simply walk out of the cross up range. the other 2 cross up hits are j.hk and j.hp, but they are kinda ambiguous on hit. so you just have to be careful not to get hit by jump ins from a weird range. usually they only happen near corners. these 2 hits much earlier above the head, and will combo into anything. i have frame advantage on reset, coz i am grounded and you are in the air. you have to option to do teleport or ex devil reverse. bison should be easy to escape it. alternatively you can just block, but you will need to guess quite a bit, which is a 50-50. if you mess up the reversal timing, it's gonna be as bad as blocking the wrong way. so far in my experience, i could defeat quite a number of wake up moves with the early c.lk. and srks has a good chance of whiffing in the wrong direction. QUOTE(alanw72 @ Jul 31 2009, 10:22 AM) training fei long now.. is there any combo ultra for him?? quite difficult to link the ultra while putting up the opponent in the air, it will just get few hits but not into the "FULL" ultra... sorry to tell you that fei long has nothing to juggle into his ultra, not full damage anyway. i am thinking about 2 hits dash punch>FADC>ultra, but i've never actually experimented it. you might wanna try.QUOTE(Skylinestar @ Jul 31 2009, 02:37 PM) ryu's metsu hadouken is too slow. is there any method to speed it up? he's wasting time with the fireball in his hand. no there's no way to speed it up.everyone's ultra is slow. so... you can bait a hadoken spam war and surprise you opponent with one of it with a trade hit. QUOTE(Shufflerz @ Jul 31 2009, 03:00 PM) The game is made like this, how to change it leh? hi shuff, pls excuse me to borrow your post and made some changes. i'm a bit lazy in retyping stuffs. You metsu only when you confirm it will kena. Example: 01. When opponent jump toward you, you anti air light SRK -> Metsu. 02. On the ground, heavy SRK -> FADC -> Metsu. 03. On the corner, after doing EX Tetsu -> Metsu. 04. On the corner, after doing EX Fireball -> Metsu. 05. On the corner, after L.SRK cancel into Super -> Metsu. (only kena 3~4 hits, for yeng-ness purposes only) if it's a finisher, why not. 06. Wake up from the ground and you see Fireball coming, faster Metsu, will avoid the Fireball and Metsu will kena opponent. This is totally not advisable. 07. Anywhere on screen anything>ex hadou>FADC>metsu 08. On the ground, anti air heavy SRK -> FADC -> Metsu. Just... don't anyhow random Metsu. QUOTE(boogalogist @ Jul 31 2009, 05:25 PM) THIS....is immensely helpful!! careful though, it will fly over crouching opponents if you execute within combo range without connecting a c.hp.Thanks!! p/s Frame data shows that Sakura's ground EX tatsu is +4 on block....weeeee!! spam away!! that way you will get a lot of shittz coming your way. i had my share of lessons learned the hard way. |

QUOTE(pikacu @ Aug 1 2009, 09:23 AM) Tks alvin ..i got one more quedstion turbo simply means auto-fire,what is the "Turbo" button usage? i press it then the green LED turned on... by holding down the turbo button+push any button, including directions, you will set it as semi automatic, when you hold the button, it does inputs up to 20 times per second. by holding down the turbo button+push any button the second time, it will become full auto, you dun even need to press the button, it just does 20 inputs/second automatically, nonstop. to clear all the turbo settings, hold turbo button and press select. Added on August 1, 2009, 9:44 ami just won another Champ mode match yesterday... kinda makes me happy, coz i've always had problems with Blankas... =D This post has been edited by MasterAlvin: Aug 1 2009, 09:49 AM |

QUOTE(Darkstalker @ Aug 1 2009, 07:50 PM) To get those tapping special moves out, you need 5 inputs within a limited window (which gets stricter as you choose more powerful versions). wow i had no idea. thanks a lot.The version of the move that comes out is dependant on which button press is the last (in this case fifth) button press. So LP, HP, MP, LP, HP would get you the HP version. |

people who plays Ryu, you should add this fella:
GFWL ID: DeOptician he showed up on list last night, and handed my ass to me for almost 30 games. his Ryu footsie is amazing, i got totally shut down by his hadoken game. me and my brother played about 30 matches with him, we only managed to squeeze out 1 win over his zangief with my brother's akuma, hitting 4 Raging demon in the process. His Ryu however, we never even came close to winning. solid combo and amazing footsie game, definitely an example of a good zoning hadoken game. and Mr. DeOptician, if you are here, pls identify yourself. |
