my previous experience with WD TV on m2ts is quite pleasing albeit that no HD audio.
BD iso or m2ts (in bdmv folder), it makes no difference to me as ar188 pointed out. My 6500 able to play m2ts flawlessly as opposed to bd iso, inconsistently.

Dun really care whether the pixels are an exact 1:1 match, but if mkv is free, can't complain.
Already 720p looks worlds apart from dvd .... 1080p is even more enough.

QUOTE(SiriuslyCold @ Aug 3 2009, 10:01 AM) wow, not even for your parents? Dun say like that. I ll be busy this week working till late nite. So going to lowyat is waste of time for me. Another thing is that my parents aren't staying with me. Only pass to them, install for them when I see them. So no rush...Any good place to get this in PJ? I need another 2.5" 320Gb hdd for them too.

By the time BDs become as cheap as DVDs, everyone will have multi terabyte storage at home and rip their own BDs (or download more) On the other hand, internet broadband will improve, and studios will deliver BD by download... which people will store on their terabyte storage and play thru media player the way I see it, media players will outlive discs

PKJ meh ah? Look what I saw just now at Low Yat Plaza - a new version of WDTV - did you notice that it has a dts logo on the top? also on the back there are connections for Network, Component Video (thru a jack) I saw it at Viewnet. I asked "where is this thing?" but the salesperson showed me the old WDTV. Anyway could this is be the next version? This post has been edited by DigitalKL: Aug 3 2009, 10:27 PM
