Yes you can. Currently the amount you paid for are the fees or deposited required for pre-booking the Iphone 3GS. When you are required to go and collect your phone, you can ask them for a change in the plan and pay the remaining applicable amount to Maxis. Anyway, why the sudden change of plan?  smile.gif

Hmm don't know.. I'm not sure if I want to remain with the contract for 24 months... (also not sure how it would work if a new model comes out and I want to upgrade)

yeah, it's to any network, but if you call to Localfone, like Dominos, McD, those numbers like 1300131300, those they will charge.

Hi, I'd just like to clarify on this, I just called the hotline and they told me the 333 minutes is only for Maxis numbers? (I'm very confused). So which one is it?

If I call someone who is on Digi, is that covered by the 333 minutes?

Thanks for any info biggrin.gif icon_question.gif

I asked the maxis salesgirl the other day she said thats to all networks so long as local calls. the only thing to note is that the free sms is only to maxis and NOT to other networks..

Hmm ok bleh that kinda sucks lol, since most of my family is on other networks.. ah well biggrin.gif

Edit:
Ok, still confused .... :S

Exactly. It's recommended to get a principal package + iData2 plan instead if you make a lot of calls or sms to other networks.  smile.gif

Heh, so in conclusion, who has it right? Maxis Center or Maxis Hotline person? Ksc or muazzam?? or I guess I'll find out when my bill comes out tongue.gif

@tnsai,
The 333 free minutes are applicable for both Maxis and other network operators.  This is so because u basically have paid for the usage in your plan.

Cool thanks!

Hmm, I find it weird and a bit.. insane/unreasonable that we cannot check what is our current data usage(just called Hotline). I think the customers have the right to know if they exceeded their data usage etc.

Of course, it could be intentional, so we don't know if we have overused our limit or not.

but opting for these additional plans might as well u upgrade ur entire plan ... but then you wated money on the price you paid for the iphone as that price might be reduced quite a lot if would have chose a higher plan when u bought the iphone ...
*
Problem is, I ask already sad.gif they don't allow any upgrades without incurring a heavy penalty for changing contract

Just to give an idea to everybody of what the data charges will look like

Bill Snippet

From what I understand how they make it work is the bill will show the usage and ACTUAL cost of the usage to which they will apply deductions .. as you can see I was on the 500mb/month so they minus the cost of 37,402kbs which is 187.24 yawn.gif

I guess that is the rate when you overuse, so guys please be careful..

Get a black and white information if applicable as some staff from Maxis Center seems to be as confused as us. Last time I was asking if Value Extra were available for subscription for iValue Plan 1 subscriber and I get a no from 2 maxis staff (From Sunway Pyramid). I was told otherwise by the promoter when they are trying to sell the iPhone to me. Lastly, I resort to calling customer service, record the call so that I can always screw them when things get into the wrong direction.  nod.gif

Yeah they are freaking confused.. I called the hotline to ask if the IValue1 minutes cover any network etc and they told me no(the final answer is YES btw) .. then I talked to the Maxis center because they told me at first that the minutes cover other networks as well.. and I called hotline again.. and they told me "NO, again" .... i hung up.. called the hotline again.. another persson picked up.. asked them again and this time they told me yes.. and to make sure I asked them to double check with the people in-charge etc.. and they finally confirmed with me what the Maxis center said..

So yeah.. the people are pretty confused...
