guys, i got question.. received my new bill few days back..was wondering, for iValue 1 plan, they said they give 333 mins free local calls..what does it means by local calls? maxis-to-maxis or home line? if maxis-to-maxis, i'm wondering why am i still being charge for voice usage if i already commit rm100 every month?? or is it monthly commitment and usage charge are 2 different thing?

@scofield,
Local calls as in within MY.  If you go above your 333 minutes U'll be charged.

If thats the case..if i'm not mistaken my totals calls are about 1 1/2 hours which should be within the 333 minutes free calls..am i right? so they shouldn't charge me for that but thats not the case in my bill..but if its not meant for maxis-to-maxis i can understand if they want to charge me..but in my bill, even maxis-to-maxis they still charge me..

@scofield,
It's best if you called Maxis for a verification.  Also, is this the 1st bill you're getting?  If so, the 333 minutes will also be prorated according to when the plan was activated.

If I am buying iPhone 3GS which non-contract, can I still use my old Hotlink number? or should I buy a new Hotlink number which bundle together with the iPhone 3GS?

P.S. If I can use my old Hotlink number, I will transfer/change my Digi number to Hotlink ^^

i think you need to buy it with a new Hotlink number unless you could just buy the phone only..nevertheless, you can use any sim card whether you buy it with or without a new Hotlink number..the only con is, you wouldn't be able to enjoy the free 500mb data that they are giving..

I'm confused.

for the ivalue 1, ivalue plans from maxis, the monthly fee is RM 100, meaning i have to pay RM 100 each month and also pay for the price of the phone? and that RM 100 haven't include my calls and sms?

the rm100 you pay for ivalue 1 of course includes calls and smses. 333 minutes, 100sms and 500mb data included. check here for more info.

you also need to pay additional service (if you applied any)..so you could be looking at RM110-RM120 per month. if you're a heavy sms-er, you can apply for the additional service which will cost you additional RM8/month for 500sms (Maxis-to-Maxis only)..
