hi guys. im not sure if this is the correct forum to ask for advice but i dont see any other forums with any similar discussions. My situation is like this. I signed up for the iPhone 3GS ivalue 155 plan with Maxis in October last year with 2 years contract. Due to work obligations i will be transferred overseas soon to work for a duration of at least 3 years. I called up maxis customer service and they mentioned if i canceled my account now or downgrade my account, they will charge me almost 2.5k penalty fees. I feel this is ridiculous. I informed them that i still want to keep my line and if its possible for me to pay a minimum monthly fees to keep my account active. I even offered to return the phone but it remains the same. Any1 had similar experience? How did you guys go through this? Thank you for any feedback. Cheers!
