1) Will the SIM be locked to Maxis? No, the SIM is not locked to any network. However, the handset will be preset to the Maxis network. Phones not connected to the Maxis network will not be supported by Maxis.
2) Will my iPhone 3G S work with other non-Maxis operators? Sir/madam, it may work but we cannot guarantee the same iPhone 3G S experience when the iPhone 3G S is used on other non-Maxis operators. However, we can guarantee that the iPhone 3G S will work with Maxis network.

The information above was found in the faq.pdf document provided by Maxis. I tried to contact Maxis via e-mail, but so far no luck yet
As I will be traveling quote often it is important that I can switch telco sim card every once a while without any problems. With that Singtel I knew it was 100% official unlocked. How's that for the Maxis phone? Perhaps I am reading it faulty, but above I read that there's no simlock, but the part 'Phones not connected to the Maxis network will not be supported by Maxis'... could anyone explain a bit what this means exactly?
I am looking for a prepaid solution, so the new Hotlink is perfect. I was planning to take up unlimited 3G at Celcom and other sims at other countries.
Is it still wise for me to go for the Maxis Hotlink prepaid?
Cheers!
