I've been confused about hotlink monthly top up, some said rm10 can activate your hotlink for 2 months but others said rm10 is just valid for 7 days only

currently I'm using celcom xpax and planning to "porting" my number to hotlink but feel some sentimental nostalgic due to been using it for almost 10 years

anyone bought i3gs + new hotlink able to using 3g ?

details:
- bought mine with new hotlink at maxis klcc on 31/7
- received the sms about 500mb free monthly on saturday
- prepaid balance RM3++ (not yet make 1st topup)
- thought because of jailbroken phone but able to connect 3g using xpax

i called customer services just now and the guy said my number is active (thats mean i should not have any problem) but he said that my hotlink SIM card are not supported 3g, i need to change to 3g SIM and it cost RM25 (wtf?)

can someone enlighten me ?

err, actually it is new SIM card, bought on the same day (and same time) i bought the phone

if it's true about non 3g support card, then i have to forget about 500mb free monthly coz of RM33 (hotlink 365) + rm30 (topup to activate the line for 6 months) + rm25 (new supported 3g SIM card)
