I was hoping that we could have a separate thread specially for the exhibition match - given that the MUST thread is always buzzing with traffic, let's have a discussion here among people who are going and stuff related to the match? =)

I'm kinda worried about H1N1 to be honest but given this is Giggs, Scholes, van der Sar and Neville's [potentially] last season, I really want to go. sad.gif

Dilemma?

Tactics will always be the same:

1) Muthumagam - you take van der Sar's jersey
2) Mohd. Ali bin Bakar - you take Rooney's jersey
3) Kee Kuan Chya - you take Valencia's jersey

etc etc etc

Don't think they would cancel...
WHO had issued that there's still no restrictions on traveling; just necessary precautions.

However, tell you the truth; I would rather go see their training session rather than the actual match.

There you can see them train on passing (like monkey trying to capture the ball only they are using feet wink.gif ), shooting penalties, taking free kicks etc...

The last I went is like a lot of years back when Beckham still shoots aeroplanes at penalty spots (and that was during the training sessions) and Barthez during the match is not the keeper wink.gif

Wonder how M'sia team would fair this time. I think there would be certain arrangement not to trash M'sian team by too many goals tongue.gif

aren't tickets still available for the match? because match is far from sold out so i'd be surprised if tickets aren't available.

and boon, would it be advisable to go, in your opinion?

A lot of ppl are not going because Ronaldo moved out (that's the best bet). A lot seems to predict that this tour wouldn't be that exciting without Ronaldo. Did they announce who would come yet?

But if you ask me whether or not to go, it's all based on your own decision.
H1N1 wouldn't kill though. If you think that your immune system is strong and you have a healthy lifestyle, than you can go. But if you think you're weak, than don't go crowded place lor..... wink.gif

Anyway, this is broadcast via my company's HR:
QUOTE
Dear Colleagues

Please take some time to read through this important update on H1N1 in its entirety.

World Health Organization (“WHO”) considers the overall severity of the H1N1 influenza pandemic to be moderate. WHO has also stressed that whilst the number of cases is growing, there should not be cause for alarm as the H1N1 flu is generally mild and most people recover from it. This assessment is based on scientific evidence available to WHO, as well as input from its Member States on the pandemic's impact on their health systems, and their social and economic functioning.

The moderate assessment reflects that:

Most people recover from infection without the need for hospitalization or medical care.

In the cases of fatalities, most had underlying health problems ranging from asthma, chronic lung ailments to heart disease.

WHO said on June 25 that the H1N1 virus was stable and there was no sign of it mixing with avian flu or other influenza viruses.

The World Health Organisation and the International Civil Aviation Organisation have not imposed travel restrictions at this point in time.

Lol, you worried you will be infected by H1N1 or you worried about them will be infected by H1N1?

If you don't wanna be infected, just wear the damn mask lor, if you don't want them to be infected, you or everybody just don't get near them lor, so no autograph lor. To me, i love both of 'me' and 'them'. LOL tongue.gif

Is it true?

Usually they wouldn't show one as they would try to get everyone to the stadium. If not, wasted if the stadium is empty and the team might not come again.

Well the tickets are already sold out except for the Rm 58 tickets so I think it'd be shown lah....besides remember when United toured other countries last time out? They showed all the Asia leg matches.

lol most ppl discuss more bout h1n1 than the match tongue.gif. it's all media hype ya;ll. it's similar to the flu and u'll have better chance of recovery than being sick unless u have aids la kan (or vr old/vr young or...)

bout the match, felt pity for msian team as i'm a utd fan as well. i do hope they would give encouraging performance CONSISTENTLY but for neutrals hopefully cud help msian team a bit by cheering them on biggrin.gif

Malaysian fans are little tad bit swinging with the crowds one...

11-12 years ago when the world youth championship is in M'sia, I went for the Argentina vs Brazil match (I think so...can't remember clearly; but it's a big match)
The supporters which I meant our supporters are all supporting brazil with the flags, gongs and all. Suddenly when Brazil lose, they switch sides doh.gif

Dude, why the paranoia? Imo, H1N1 is being overhyped. People in Africa die of flu all the time. If I were to go out and get infected, hey, that's fate bro. Locking myself in my room hiding under the blanket would prob kill me of boredom anyways. Besides, the fatality rate is like what? One in a hundred?

I think we have decent under 23 team and i believe K.Rajagopal can prepare our national team to match MU.

If we can score at least one goal, i think it already a great success to our team. hahahah

Might want to ask him what Spurs is doing amidst this massive transfer spree. Usually their the ones who go crazy with their purchases every window. They've been surprisingly quiet this.

I called ProEvent asking this question long time ago they say there is no special treatment like meeting players and so and so

ONLY numbered seating, and of course closer to the player

@ Rhadykall: Man Utd will play Malaysia selection team on Saturday. How in the world would they be staying in Jakarta? They only play Indonesia on July 20.

United setuju main sekali lagi jumpa Malaysia
18/07/2009 8:54pm

- Utusan

http://www.utusan.com.my/utusan/info.asp?y...ni&pg=bt_27.htm

Bahasa Malaysia newspaper said that the price from RM58 to RM308. Can be buy from Nike and Al-Ikhsan. Internet as usual, from ticketpro.com

i agree with buttons up, amri yahya's goal was definitely world class. he had the time to look up and see where van der sar was and the technique to kick the ball with dip just above the keeper. a truly splendid effort there. i guess malaysian football is improving.

yea that's suck. but in hindsight, that comment hopefully wud have spurred the msian team to prove em wrong. the problem that they have is consistency and that's y the sight of malaysianfootball-bashing is common sight everywhere bet. msians themselves. right now, what they they need to do is work extra hard to prove that yday's result was no fluke (and this is not gonna be an easy feat rematch against one of the best teams in d world)

jz a question to ponder, are we gonna see lalang msian supporter over the nx 2days? tongue.gif

what are your problem? when malaysian team down, all ppl kutuk, still when we win also you didnt satisfy. got brain problem?

Added on July 19, 2009, 8:24 ami bet most of the ppl yesterday never even once go watch match at stadium, the thing i hate most, as malaysian ' Pass to owen', " go go rooney", but when it came to malaysia, "haa player no 5", "player no 7" weii COME ON!! even the most overrated zafuan also you didnt know ? +when united player pass to no one, ppl said "good try" but come to malaysian "bodo la pemain no xx" shame on you. menang salah kalah pun salah. Wei malaysian team use only under 23+4senior (indra, misbah, amri yahya). Praise should give to malaysian goalkeeper, misbah got prob, lost ball control many times. Rajagopal should bring in bunyamin in 1st place.

itu la realitinya bro.. a lot of ppl is gonna pessimistic when it comes to msian football but when it comes to to their fav football team (for die-hard fans at least), they are gonna take losses in their stride but still at the end of the day they gonna cont supporting team not even fr their hometown unsolicitedly. wait n see if the monday's result goes unfavorably for msia, then the msia-bashing starts again and all the worthlessness of the team will come out fr ppl's mouth. that's y i ask jz b4 am i going to see lalangs in 2 days. mebe they wanna sapot spore and wear all their flags and jc if they make it to wcup la kut. for me, i'm pissed but i'm pissed at certain players and fam but nvr turn my back to the national team. in the end, those that do, just find excuses instead of reasons to do that.

yd game for msia, i think some do have potential to do something more but might be overawed by the occasion. some were over-enthusiastic. the midfielders did a commendable job but much needs to improved. some have ability with ball on to the feet (and with no pressing CMs like fletcher, and even ando wasnt pressing that much) but opted to pass, which end up waywardly, rather than dribble to open up spaces. bunyamin, masuk2 mcm kene rasuk, dpt bola terus rembat merapu 2 kali dr tgh pdg even tho team tgh wat counter attk.. but keeper did ok. prolly cud have done better with the 1st goal and bile tampan bola yg smpi kt owen pastu owen rembat cam hampeh tu, but overall still ok

need sumone brave enuf to raise footbal development issue, if not we still like this arguing and keep arguing and yes, easy to talk than to act..

hmm can we fight this with politics as well? try to convince both anwar or najib for football? kick sultanate administration that linger in football board? bla bla... yeah easy to talk than action... football is our culture but not being industry yet like japan, korea, china, indonesia.. vote for FOOTBALL REFORMATION!

I don't know why some people are so bitter about the results and still want to bring up negative issues from yesterday game. For me and I believe most of the people in the stadium, we are treated with first class entertainment, we have so much fun that even the cramping LRT trains make us think 'it was worth it.

We cheered whenever both MU and Malaysia are attempting to score a goal and cheered even louder when both score their respective goals. Those who say we boo their national team is either deaf, blind, or simply want to find something bad to talk about.

I guess some people can't go on a day without having negative thoughts about others.

So how long you gonna boo the national team? I think MU people or other country think we're idiots who doesn't support our national team. Well, look at it! I've seen tons of people wearing MU T-Shirt and more half of the people in the national stadium wear it. Yes I know they love MU, but come on la. I felt too jerky with all these. A bit shame with it. Just understand duh.

First at all, this game is not a tournament, is more like a show for the MU fans... so dun blame on the MU fans who as a Malaysian instead support MU than Malaysia NT, just bcoz they all pay the ticket to support what they want to.

Ok... I m Malaysian, i support anything which make from Malaysia, car, motorcycle and other but not Malaysia NT((I dint point to the player, bcoz i know this is not fair for them n i know got few player are really potential and my local favorite player is Azman Adnan)) which control by current FAM which got include by politic ppl, corruption and the worst management too, spend of billion but end up lose to indigent's country. They make the local football be coming worst, they dun mind u support Malaysia or local football or not, they just want u spend money for them every week or every single game from Malaysia. Thats all i wanna said, i dun mind some of u have a offend word on me since maybe u guys really not care about what have happen on local football and that what we call blind supporter.

its the players that makes up the game.
if the players are good, we gonna get quality games.
im actually not such an ardent fan of local footy, dont even know players. actually knew the man u players more yesterday, but i ended up supporting the national team. coz some of the players played well and very well. have to say i feel a bit proud at the way they played.
at the end of it, united were going all out it seemed to score their winning goal, and it was brilliant to watch the quality on show.

so gona try to find and buy national jersey.
oh yeah, the point was, they got themselves a new supporter

Gee some people confused what the boo is actually for. Nobody in the stadium boo the the national players frequently. Only when they do something like aeroplane or crap shot then they go like 'Ooooiii!!". I mean, if they do some crap shot of course oooi them ler...then what? Clap arr? But if got good shot then you can hear us cheering.

Some people are just so negative. They only hear what they want to hear and ignore the whole picture. Who cares, those people are wasted sperm anyways.

Sometimes having friendly match with big team like MU & Chelsea (last year) is good for young generation. This is THE ONLY time they can see and even know national team players. Seriously we got potential...and credit to Amri, whatever people said, it was a world class left foot shot...

yes it was..
i will say this about the current national squad though,
they are BRAVE. they have a different mindset now, maybe thanks to rajagobal. they attack and they go for gold, gunning for glory, take no prisoners attitude.
even the guy that 'bolot' the ball to himself, coz he wanted to score himself so badly.

this current team got guts. mebe im wrong but from my own personal perception teams of old were a bit more hesitant, unsure and not daring enough.
so kudos to this team, in the end everyone had a good time last night.
--

so if everyone wants to talk a bit bout something else, how bout we throw ideas what the strategy tomorrow will be like?

how do you see ferguson changing the tactics?

whos going to be guarding amri etc, how many?
the two malaysian players on the right side of the field a lot of times could not run as fast as the man u players that were there, who should be replaced? starting lineup prediction?

etc etc.. come on, bring some healthy discussion

mates,
can we get the tix from selected al-ikhsan stores?coz The Star only mention tix being sold at b.jalil.any confirmation?

i've been a supporter of our national team the moment i started playing footie.like 15 years ago.time and time again they have disappointed me.though the chips were down,i was still around and proudly wave the flag no matter how bad we get thrashed coz i know those players are playing their hearts out.sadly,FAM has made lots of empty promises and invested too much of tax payers money without much improvement.they raised our hopes and just crushed it.last nite, the players showed their ability and true character.the question is,how long can that last?our team is famous for its inconsistency.

In fact we got a lot of potential player many years ago just end up nothing just bcoz the worst management which control by FAM and a potential player still need a good care n good management to build up for them a good future in football field.

its easy to blame and finds scapegoats...
but myself personally, i just get the impression if the player is good enough, then he will go far.
some old brazilian players that came from slums or poor backgrounds that played on the streets etc, they grew up to be amazing players.
practiced all da way.

im saying talent can be born and natural or it can be developed and honed.
i just say talent is key, all the other things are business. perhaps its how the players train themselves and from young etc can make a difference. does it cost the players money to kick the same ball and practice?
just go to a field and practice. get better etc etc.
if the quality no good how to go far.... even in the off chance a great player is there but is unable to raise everyone elses level up.

anyways im not an expert and wont claim as such, just stating my observations. i never believed if you just throw money in a lot and expect it to miraculously change the quality for the better. money may not be the ultimate determining factor. it may not even be a sole factor. who knows, but from where i stand, practice makes perfect.

want to complain bout msian footy, then complain in a proper thread. this getting off topic.

i dont know the state of msian footy so wont presume like i know d answer.
just sayin, if a star player like ronaldinho, ronaldo changed teams, theyd still be star players.
alex ferguson if he took over msian xi squad, think can be epl champions quality (hypothetically)?

maybe the players need to be trained from young to get better. emulate the best. there may be a whole bunch of factors or ways but this could be one of them.

in regards some were selected by political parties, i dont really know. mebe the fans and players themselves know if they deserve to be there. in whatever the case may be, they all have to get better. create some star players and by that i mean quality.

in regards to sticking to one coach, sure why not if he gets the job done and is producing results.
ferguson is still at man u for how many years now?

i think mebe some ppl misunderstood. the criticism might not be directly at u but to those that boo the national squad.. u might not boo, but others might have. they might not have booed all at the same time, but still certain sections can hear the boo. doesnt matter it's all had and let's hope the squad can maintain the same lvl of performance that they produce yesterday in tomorrow's match.

remember, this is a young squad and usually the young ones are still ok. interesting fact to note (mungkin salah jgn bash yer) adalah ketiadaan pemain2 pahang? betul ke?

p.s: but bunyamin mmg cam naik rasuk sket kut smlm msk2 jd sub tibe dpt bola tgh pdg pegi try merapu 2x.. hahah

too bad i can't go to the rematch..
1st game was awesome..
LRT was jam packed.. whole red army was in there.. tongue.gif

anyway, the only BOOs i heard were reserved for:
1) supporters of other EPL clubs who really had d guts to wear their team colour.. everyone starting pointing at them, shouting & taking pics.. tongue.gif

2) when the final ball from our Malaysian players were damn lousy.. either too high ball, or sloppy pass..

3) Berbatov! damn kesian, there were a bunch of guys sitting behind me shouting "go back to Bulgaria! go back to Spurs"

cheers were loudest for:
1) SAF & Sir Bobby
2) VDS, Scholes, Rio, Gaz, Giggsy & Rooney
3) Kiko Macheda, our saviour last season..
4) Owen! When Tosic, Brown & Fabio were warming up, the crowd was screaming for Owen.. surprisingly popular, our matchwinner..
5) both Malaysian goals.. the story in The Star says: "the equalizer that silenced the 85000 crowd".. bollocks, we cheered all the goals equally loud.. (loudest was for Owen's winner, of coz)

so there was no real issue of turning our back on our National team.. i actually went home with a great feeling, knowing that although we may wear the red of Man Utd, we're still Malaysian at heart..

of course, i don't follow Malaysian football, because i'm not a fan..
but that doesn't make me a traitor.. enough said..

This is a joke man.

He scored two lucky goals and he is considered a player worthy playing for MU??!! Pls dont insult MU's quality PLS!

Good players dont just score goals once in a blue moon, they do it consistently for the whole season.

I never believe in 'lucky' goal...the 1st goal is not lucky, look at the way Amri shot, he looked VDS position and chip it just passes VDS head...it needs skill, left foot sumore...

I know that Malaysian footballer still far away to play in international league...

those who think Amri's goals are lucky goals... try it for yourself .. It need skills to score like that.. Lucky goals when you are facing away and ball hit you and bounced into goal.. My point is I'm proud the way Malaysia performed..

How many players in this world can live to tell that " I SCORED TWICE against MU "... ? Credit to Amri..

If amri's goals were lucky, i guess you could say the same for rooney and owen? Only people who never touched a football in their life will think the first goal was luck.

Most people i know were impressed with Malaysia performance including every United fan that i know. the first Yahyah's goal was fantastic. I see a lot of United fan cheering after he scored. And think again if you wanna judge United fan, just because ONE United fan siad Yahyah's goal was pure luck, doesn't mean every United fan will say the same thing.

lol la... everything msian footballer does is luck la plak.. dun get over-obsessed with overseas talent. of course wasnt pure skill, but certainly not pure luck.. but certainly more skill rather than luck. for me i'd call it form. he tried a dipping shot earlier but VDS was on task to save it. that just shows that he has the ability to take long shots.. anyway that's all in the past now to look forward for tonite!

I'm not actually a follower of local footy and I must admit that was the first time I heard of that Amri dude, but it was a superb hit to score from that range. I wouldn't credit it down to luck, but I'm not sure if he would be able to hit it any sweeter if he had another chance. All of the Malaysian players on show were alien to me, except for that Indra Putera guy coz apparently he's the best atm (was only ok imo). Good performance though, showed that even against the best they could do well. Whether or not they can translate that into consistent showings, or it being another one hit wonder is yet to be seen. I still hope to see Malaysia in the World Cup in this lifetime.

That match was awesome, it really lifted the spirit of Malaysian fans. U should've seen the look on Ferguson's face when he left the pitch. A pre-season will always be pre-season, lack of form etc, but a real Man Utd match will be today, coz they want to save blushes/redeem/showmanship/whatever u wanna call it. If Malaysia team will not be in over its head, hopefully they won't kena trashing.

Give credit to malaysian player... i think they play positively ....they attack while they can...they do not approach defensively

and bullshit to the journalist claims that the crowd was silenced when yahya scored the seconds goals....we were celebrating like mad...i did not see anyone around me that is sitting there cursing for it...everyone were jumping around...

total bollocks...even we united supporter love UNITED very much but as a malaysian when our national do well we will definitely cheer for them too...

not entirely true.. they didnt score coz the play is a bit wayward compared to saturday where they opt more short pass approach for counters. i do agree tho that using the same set of players to start with shouldnt be the way to go as the players, not fit as their european counterparts, were easily exposed at the back. the RB/LB (asrar) that started was awful with their positioning and passing thus making the early substitution an easy choice. thiru oso couldnt last the whole game even tho he was a substitute himself altho he did have to contend with tosic's direct play on the wings all day.. azmi muslim played well tho on LB after coming in. we played well in patches but certainly hope they improve. whatever it is, it's still a joy supporting malaysia!!

I think man of the match should go to V. Thirumurugan .. That idiot he replace was horrible and was the reason for the two goals

After we conceded two goals... he was stopping any movement on the left... from zoran tosic and fabio..

If the organisers flew in the Indonesian team here and dropped the ticket price, I'm sure we can get 100k attendance!

what to do, u have to admit Man Utd palyers are way better than us. And last nite was just an exercise for them. Man Utd 2nd goal came from a perfect cross from the left. Thiru played very well, he want scared to be abit more robust. And our players did try to play a passing game, which is commendable. Theres still hope for our national team.

Somehow our players' decision making is still in pre school state. Wasted so many golden counter attack chances. Anyway kudos to Mas team. Good try but obviously lacking the skill, technique, strength & composure.

Malaysia still need to work on the passing, especially when attacking, is really frustrating to see the ball lost just because of a miss pass to opponent

so close yet so far...
had a few good chances last night... i was severely disappointed msia didnt score any goals..
had a few good tries..
but the Msian keeper daaamn good. kept his cool most of the time if not all.

the thing about the Msian team i noticed is that starting seems the same.. a bit slow to get into rhythm or to move fast.. after the 2 goals by man u, then the msian come alive.. or abit more...
could see man utd really pulling off some classy moves and all which shows they really were trying to score and all. so a good effort by the Msian team nonetheless.

an area to improve is the finishing.. they must learn to handle pressure when attacking or trying to score.. everyone else always fumbles but amri yahyah was too tired i guess from the game on saturday.

another point they should try to go the distance.. full 90 mins..

anyhow.. there is still hope for Msian team, they can still improve on the visible weaknesses.

i dont think so... there were quite a few very good attempts on both sides after the first 20 mins..
msian only came alive after that.. slow starters a bit..

also fletcher suka main kotor.. trying to pick fights with almost everyone..

heck.. rooney also go tackle some player until terpelanting damn jauh.. i was far and see the guy fly that far.. wah that poor dude must sure more sakit one.. fly so damn far...

live is still da best.. worht the money altho disappointed a bit

but yeah... saturday match more fun to watch coz got 2 goals for msia

Are you sure you were watching the same match as i was?

Because it looks like you didn't.

To be honest, some Malaysian players were over-reacting. Kena tackle and body contact a bit, then fall down and lying and rolling on the pitch for about 30 seconds. And lack of sportsmanship is one thing. Bloody annoying. Other things are okay except they were play like shit most of the time.

what u need to remember is most of the msian players that played on monday started on saturday as well (and played more than half the time). to play against a team of great stature and wonderful passing ability like man utd takes a toll on any team. heck even united (who without a doubt have a high fitness lvl) sometimes frustrates u when they had 2 games in a wk, and more so if the game is 2 days after the 1st one. usually even man utd struggle in their 2nd game after back to back games (and needing to scrap wins as well) and translate that to malaysian level, u shud understand y they play like "shit". it wasnt too bad on saturday (even tho some would still call it lucky) but the fact remains the passing was much better on saturday. put man utd against passing team like barca and have them face another tough opposition in 2 days time (with same 1st 11) and see how tough it is to maintain that same lvl of performance..

over-acting is just gamesmanship to slow down the pace of the game which msia needs to in order for them to compose themselves.

yes more room to improve (and a lot) but hopefully there is some consistency into it w.o any "outside" hands. and indeed we need to work on everything like some say, even for the supporters.

If Malaysia dint pay them u think they wanna come like this hardy way ar, World Cup also give at least 1 week to prepare lah, from all the MU player from this 2 match, i only saw that Rooney is the only one serious in the match, other player only play like they are attend training. Especially the last match, the MU defender only stand there waiting Malaysia attacker coming, then MU defender just walk forward few step the malaysia player already lose the ball ad.... doh.gif , Malaysia player can be tired, why not MU player too ??? If the Malaysia team wanna proof that they have improve, please win a gold medal in Sea Games 2009 at Laos.

i dun recall saying man utd player were robots. i was pointing out to the fact that msia team had the same 1st 11 for both days. 1st day they did well in terms of all the basic things needed to play football (u wud know what as u play field football often). wasnt comparing to manutd player but they did not start with the same 1st 11. and with regards to how msian team play compared to man utd players where msian team chased the ball a lot more than their opponents, that's the luxury that u have when ur team can play a good passing game rather than more direct football. that's y when u go up against the best passing team i've seen around (barca), u cud see all of the oppnents are vr tired after the game even when they are at the top of their fitness level as they chase the ball a lot, and it's tough to expect the same lvl of performance 2 days after. itu baru international team, msia yg kurang fitness lvl apetah lagi..

i was there.. i wouldnt call their performance shit. if u cant play as well or better than the msian team, then calling it shit is kinda ignorantly stupid.

both sides tried to fake a few injuries or falls to be fair.

to the argument of performance, which is it? were man u playing like testing or were some of them also tired after 2 quick games? hence the defender also slow to move.. cant say both otherwise ur just biased.
and the msian defenders really did well, there were quite a few legit good passing and goal attempts by man u that the keeper saved, not to mention the shots that were off target a bit.
i would say they really did try..
but perhaps what was on the back of man u players minds were to be careful... since some people say the referee was a bit strict to penalize any rough or foul play..

Given how puny our players are, I'm sure that if the mancs had employed route 1 football, Malaysia would be in trouble. Our central defenders are barely 6 feet tall and if you'd just stuck Vidic up front as he has been before...

Agree with some of the comments here, esp by the ones really playing football coz it's so easy being an armchair critic and only know how to kutuk :-)

I thought our boys -can- put on a good display - just that they gave too much respect to the "stars" in front of them. Technically we're not that far off from the Thais - but look at how they played against Liverpool... full of confidence and no f**king around.

We kutuk??? We sure cannot play better than Malaysia team lah...FAM spend billion on them, how can we win on them, but how come 90% of them cannot pass the basic fitness test, what is the problem??? I read from some newpapers, some former legend Malaysia football player said:"Give me a million i can train X 10 better player than FAM spend of billion".
Now i m thinking if we wanna win the Sea Games, must pass this few team first, Thailand, Indonesia , Vietnam, Singapore and Myanmar. This is no joke for Malaysia NT anymore.

LOL it have been ages we've heard FAM wanna concentrate on youth players, wanna search talents from the youngsters. heck, got few ok one oso temporary oni...after he passed 23yo, he'll become OLD player dy in their eyes, n they'll keep on looking for new one...n those so-called OLD player kena reject dy.

wtf, cannot concentrate on 1 group meh? ni sikit2, bawah 23, bawah 23, macam ni sampai bila pun cannot get any success one la.

They were paid to play football and importantly they supposed to play to entertain us and make is proud. I am paid for something else. They are paid using rakyat money. There are different between footballers and fan you know, a fan doesn't need to play better than the footballers.

And to those who accused me didn't praise the national team at all, i was there at Old Trafford Bukit Jalil cheering everytime both side got the ball (sore throat till now). I don't need to highlight it in here. Just because i didn't highlight in here and i kutuk the national teamand can't play football better than them, all i got was 'ignorantly stupid' by someone.

I admit kutuk my favorite club when they're not playing well also. I cursed Ronaldo when he dived, i kutuk my favorite player Vidic when he was sent off and play badly against Liverpool last season. If i can do that why can't i do that to the national team? Now tell me who's the f**king biassed here?

Thing is, i am bored and sick in pretending anymore.

We've never really had a problem developing players with skill and ability. It's their mentality that needs to be addressed. There needs to be more discipline and players need to be tougher mentally. Fitness is a crucial attribute and if players aren't disciplined enough to manage their lifestyles and diet, they simply cannot keep pace with bigger, stronger lads. How many local players have played football into their late 30's? It isn't just about the difference in weather I tell ya, I mean Roger Milla played under the sweltering heat in Africa. Romario was still scoring goals when he was 40 in Brazil. It's embarrasing when Western teams come here suffering from jetlag and yet are able to outlast our local players.

Well it was a pre-season warm up and that Thai's are vastly superior to our bunch of players. To be honest, I've been impressed with them for some time now. They may be tiny but are supremely fit and quick. They are also hard and have a lot of fight in them. Sadly, I cannot say the same for our lads. If anything it highlights the ever growing dispairity between us and our neighbours. I simply cannot agree with anyone who leaps to the defence of our team because it's obvious we are falling further and further behind. The worse thing is people are beginning to feel sorry for the lads! It's time they got a right kick up the arse if you ask me. If they want to act like children, then we should treat them as such.

Even in badminton, a sport we are good in, Rexy Mainaky had complained about the mentality of the players. They're always complaining that the training is so tough and they can't handle it. Is it a wonder then why China reign supreme?

Sure, Thailand always far better than Malaysia. Actually Thailand now have the ability to beat other stronger asian team like North Korea or Kuwait if they keep improving like that. Thailand is the only team which have ability qualify itself to Asia Cup without help to be a host.
But i m not sure which team ad, last year i think either Singapore or Thailand have beat the BPL team in pre-season game or tour game.

haha.. dayum...
i was hoping they would show the match on saturday but replayed the one on monday instead.
a bit bummed coz this one no goal by msia... but in the end its still fun to watch.
guess it proved the detractors wrong, the 2nd half really came alive with real legit attempts by both sides..
msia just slow starters.. if they played as well as in the end, the first 2 probly might not have happened...
all in all... yes its a mentality thing.. they need to have the confidence to know they can play quality football and deliver. a very good effort nonetheless and thoroughly enjoyable match to watch.
especially when the big gunners from man u displayed awesome skills and fancy footwork.

the only bum thing was shebbys shitty remark before the game.. then tried to save him face among locals by going 180degrees..

anyhow.. ill be sure to support msia for laos in december

You mean to suggest, they do play quality football? If anything you are the typical Malaysian. Accepting things they way they are, blindly supporting and believing what people tell you. The fact that we're slowly slipping down the world rankings doesn't concern you? The fact that FAM is run by politicians isn't a factor in declining standards of the local league? Players not getting paid by state FAs, etc not a bother? Are you even aware of these issues?

S.Korea host World Cup, they reach to Semi-Final. Malaysia host Asia Cup only, they eat a lot of egg. So what is this proof ??? Keep blind supporting, FAM keep merosot..... enough said.

condemning sure doesnt help either.......
anyways, after seeing MU trash the club from china and liverpool trashing singapore, id say our boys gave a good fight.
yes, south korea does seem to play better than us so if the scorecards the same, id say theres still hope for our team.

Go Malaysia smile.gif

Not sure about about Liverpool game against Singapore but that day when United thrashed Greentown 8-2, Greentown were quiet good in attacking and midfield, but their defending were really off that day. I can sure you that they played better and entertaining compared to Malaysia which was full of frustration (mostly). And the same result 3-2 against FC Seol that day, United were very lucky to win and FC Seol is very unlucky lost to United despite a good game.

And Greentown were just unlucky to meet the on form United that day and Malaysian team were very lucky to play against United first two games of the season. Don't flame me but i kept thinking that way.

nah i dont think so..
in the 2nd game, united clearly could have scored tons more goals if our defenders didnt save the day including the awesome keeper.
that and also the couple or few good attempts in the last minutes by both parties sure made it top notch.
id think anyone would be biased to think otherwise.

Agreed.... only the blind supporter will flame with u, but just ignore them lah. Now they think that Malaysia team are better than the team who defeat n trash by MU, our local club even cant qualify to AFC Champion League, now they think the FC Seol which the club have qualify to Quarter Finals of ACL just seem to play better than Malaysia. doh.gif

how sad looking at some certain post saying that malaysian players is not that good. for me malaysian players against manu is way more better then the previous senior squad. why don't we give them chance and hope? at least we fight hard against world class club. if ti's not the owen 1st match, we'll be laughing out loud by holding them at the same goal conceded.

have some faith la.

Dude, are you not reading some of the comments? Players are jetlagged, playing in humid conditions and plus, they weren't even going all out. Who wants to get injured in a meaningless friendly?

How can you say our players are better now than back then when we've slipped down the world rankings?

hmm the easiest answer would be of 2 possibilities;
1. the current team is stagnant or improving slightly while the rest of the world improved a lot more.
2. the team is regressing and the world is stagnant or improvng.

i wouldnt say quality regressed, id say it improved compared to the past (altho admiteedly i dont follow local footy), so just going from what i remember here.
and the world has been getting better. in almost every terms.
training etc.
think we need to define those areas so we can set a target to be level with the rest of the world, or level with the best.

where to begin?

Chance is not give by us but they have to get it by themselves.
