side note,

Bkawan & KLK dividend amount is about the same. but the later one is more "expensive", thus i'd opt for Bkawan for "cheaper" price and same div.

And therefore better dividend yield....Heheheh smile.gif

Public Bank gives good dividends per year and is rock solid. Even during the recent down trend it still drop to RM7 and no further. nod.gif

I feel that it is a good stock, company is well managed, it still has growth potential and well liked by long term investors. Most attractive is the dividend they give. rclxm9.gif

Today, it is RM9.20. Still think it is too expensive? I bought this stock a year ago at RM9.90. I remembered. Because I put in an order for 9.90 and left for Camerons. Called up my remisier 2-3 times on the way just to know if it matched. Now I have ABP of RM8.70. icon_idea.gif

This is typical human characteristic. If now you feel too expensive, better set a target price and wait it drop to your TP. If you don't, when it drop you will still think it too expensive. Is RM8.50 too expensive? Is RM8.00? RM7.50? And then because it is dropping, you will scared to pick it up. sweat.gif

On the other hand, you also need to start sometime. Later when it rise to RM10.00 you will look back and say, "Hmm...I should have bought at RM9.20". doh.gif

I do not think it is too expensive to get this stock if you are comfortable with the price & the returns. Buy now, if the price go down because market drop, then buy more only. If price go up, no harm to average up. Set a TP where you would feel comfortable to stop the purchase and say, "Done. Now I sit back and take dividends." rolleyes.gif Don't sailang all your $$ to buy at one time. Spread it out so you can average smile.gif

I have been doing this for 1 year already, eat the dividend and never get heart attack during bear. brows.gif

Just my dua sen.

I don't understand.

How come fergie said interim div = RM0.30 but VyvernS said 50 sen?

How much is the dividend?
*
Mine 50sen interim dividend is "wishful thinking"....Haven't announce.
Expecting for this coming quarter, but won't happen one ler.....Just hope hope....As you can see, our LYN analysts expecting 20sen only, during this economy downturn...Hehehhe tongue.gif

Fergie interim div of 30sen was last year payout.
