QUOTE(dt09 @ Jul 8 2009, 04:08 PM)
GOODNEWS... PNB seems to stop selling already, now is the time to go in while it is still cheap.

-- older post info ---

PRKCORP.

* It has cash RM92 Million

* Trade receivable RM153 Million, even can get back half also cukup lah

* Developent cost and Inventory RM160 Million, which will generate profits ( ie. RM160 Million will become even more )

* Total Debts ( Long Term and short term ) only RM118 Million

* Fixed asset of more than RM200 Million

* Making profits and giving out dividend for the past few years.

* Strong Gov Backing ( port operations, infra and property )

* Total shares only 100 million

* Net Asset / Share is massive RM3.83 compared to its current price of 60sen

* Its only 60sen+ !!!
seriously, with the 92million cash... they can easily take this company private and still got plenty of cash to spare. Lots of potentials.

Reason why it is so cheap ? it is because PNB is exiting this counter. PNB no longer interested in small caps, someone in PNB sells too fast causing it to drop drastically.... However, good news is that by now they should have disposed all their shares already. Everyone side-lined wiating for PNB to finish selling first. Now this share will not face anymore selling pressure from PNB, it will be buying pressure soon
*
Thanks....Looking at it Debts 118Million and Assets of 200Million, thats quite a huge ratio on the D/A. What's their total liabilities?

Though it reminds me why Uchitec is a good company...Haha... tongue.gif

Hehehe....Must be you are looking at the dividend counters ya? wink.gif

I am looking for one or two growth counters. My portfolio got PBBank, Maybank, TM, Uchitec, Maybulk, dividend plays (or so I hope la, past performance not reflective of current). I am holding on to Sapcres (only other ONG left), for the growth potential and hopefully will give some good dividends... smile.gif

QUOTE(danmooncake @ Jul 9 2009, 11:48 AM)
debbieyss  - sometimes, Oil does not always follow DJ or other stock market indicator.. it may trade on fundalmental (demand vs. supply). Right now, it is fundalmental.. if no demand.. brought the whole energy sector down pretty bad and it shook DJ pretty bad for the last 5 trading session since big oil companies (like Exxon, Chevron, etc) are part of those component.

Today, Oil pops up just a little tiny bit (50 cents higher) after DJ closed but it actually lost over $2 from $62.xx yesterday. It's hanging around $60.70 now and I don't think it will hold.. most likely heading downwards to $55.

DJ closed slightly higher on the treasure note auction and anticipation of better 2nd quarter earnings. They got it after-hours when Alcoa reported better than expected loss (aka... less worse).  Come 'mon.  3 qtrs of negative.
if one truly dig in this.. it is actually bad.

Seriously.. green shoots aren't here yet.  Only green weeds..

The VIX (fear factor indicator) is above 30 .. still kinda scary.
*
Eh...danmooncake....VIX indicator, got scale? <30 means??, >30 means?? Thanks smile.gif

Agreed. Oil overpriced need to come down to balance with the current market fundamentals of supply and demand plus the condition of economy we are in. $72/barrel is way too far away. blink.gif

Alcoa reports are actually loss. When a company make loss, it fails to satisfy the main reason of a business, which is to make profits. This is just an indication that we are not out of the woods yet. The green shoots we are currently seeing may turn out to be a whole lot of fungus that will soon wither and rot. Then we will really see how the market goes. biggrin.gif

Just a side note. The market tends to move in tandem with the quarterly reports that come out. Please be careful these few days if you want to beli share. US investors like to look at "less bad" as "good" and proceed to drive the market. Eventhough company make a loss, but less loss, it is still good. E.g. Alcoa. Share price rise after report is out. 26 cents loss is better than 38 cents loss. doh.gif sweat.gif

VIX is like a blood pressure indicator for stock market. If above 30.. fear is in..means high volatility
people SELL instead of BUY.

today's Uchitec is moving up up up.  Whats up?  Epf buying more? Whats cooking?
*
Dunno....but i was considering disposing Uchitec yesterday as cut loss....but then with good advice from the few of you, chyaw & yourself, decided to hold on first. hmm.gif

Then dt09 commented on PRKCorp, and how good it is with 118million debt only. I remembered Uchitec & Alcom, both have no outstanding borrowings and very minimal liabilities. So continue to hold Uchitech. smile.gif icon_idea.gif

I wish i was not so greedy with Rambutans... sad.gif Waited for 12.00 that never came, and not willing to buy at 13.2/3...Now flying to the moon....Soon will be playing among the stars..... doh.gif

If dollar jumps up, that means bad news.. not good news. People are scare, so they jump to treasury!

Guys, be very careful today.. if green, take opps to sell into the rally and re-position.

I have a very strong feeling DJ is going down tonight because of the pre-earnings warning already issued by 2nd largest
US oil company.  Most likely DJ green this morning is not going to hold tonight.    sad.gif

Danmooncake.....which company is this?

I only know the following reporting next week...

JPMorgan Chase (JPM, Fortune 500), Goldman Sachs (GS, Fortune 500) and Citigroup (C, Fortune 500). Intel (INTC, Fortune 500) and General Electric (GE, Fortune 500).
