I just found out my hedgie has mites.

Is it a must to get a Frontline spray to get rid of them, or is there another alternative?

dear all fren, i'm so sad rite now.. 1 of my hedgehog just died..dunno why.. is it coz i put male n female together for about 2months??? so sad (

Added on November 9, 2009, 12:38 ami'm still new.. the man who sell the hedgehogs to me did'nt say anything.. he 1 of the LYN seller..he did'nt said dat not to put hedgehog male & female together.. so sad .. after he sells to me, then he off his handphone.. just last week he call me back to buy my hedgehogs if i wish to sell back the hedgehog to him.. then, i said NO coz the hedgehogs already tame ... then, yesterday.. 1 of the hedgehogs died....
i think, da male died.. who had 'belly button' at stomache rite?? really sad now...

Hello everyone   Every time I come here also post some question or anything happen on my hedgehog Sorry for that, but just want to share for it.
Sometime we can heard hedgehog make sound like "Jiab Jiab Jiab", he look like want to eat something or taste something like that, but be careful of it.
My Bo Chai now is in Wobbly Hedgehog Syndrome. mean he can't move around by own, last time I see he front left leg getting hurt, I though it was hurt by the wood bedding ( nothing will be sharp, just the bedding ), after I cover the cloth, my Bo Chai front left leg  still getting hurt although it getting fully recover. Then I feel strange why it like that.
Then 1 time I heard the Bo Chai make " Jiab Jiab Jiab" sound again, but this time feel like juicy sound then I go see what he doing..... Oh man Bo Chai chewing his own leg until blood coming out..... he put his leg ( whole palm area ) any just chewing there...
No wonder his leg recover so slow, so next time heard the "Jiab Jiab Jiab" sound just notice his leg or any place is it getting hurt.
Now really don't know how to stop him chewing again, make be DIY those cover use by sicked dog or cat that anti them bite themselves  or scratch their own face.... but feel like can't wear it lol, hedgehog head is sharp.....

But i got a Funny thing to tell u = P my hedgehog dont have ear haha! when i bought it , its ear already chew off when it was young i guess = P
i think im bringing it to vet for surgery cause i scare parasite will get stuck into its ear "leftover"

Nice cage there but bare in mind that hedgies is a perfect escape artist u know especially when u used half mesh wire there.............
its call marking ........ they actually dun play play wan ........... hansap .............LOL

I have been trying hard to try and trim my hedgie's nails. Tried once ithe fella starts to bleed... Now phobia already. Any place i can take the fella for a manicure? or mebbe eric can do for me...hehehe...i blanja makan...

My boys love the girl name her Tut-Tut.... got her a large toyogo box as her play ground....oh she loves it.... She get treats most of the time....

But my youngest son still dare not pick her up.... but the eldest can.
He is still trying....She is almost toilet train.... every time she poo/pee in there she get treats....yummmyyyyy...

Now my question is how many times do you need to shower them....
