QUOTE(wookp @ Dec 16 2009, 07:27 AM) They are initially soft and dries up becoming hard. Similar to rat's poo. And yeah, they are OK under air-con. Mine is... Try not to put them under tooc old situations for a long period of time (a few days). They might hibernate... That's what I read anyway. then how should i litter train then when their poo is soft... wont the litter tray stink like crap..?

Added on December 17, 2009, 8:59 pmQUOTE(wookp @ Dec 17 2009, 05:25 PM) naruto oh naruto... I know you just got your hedgehog ler...we are all here to learn. dun just go on advising people on things you are not sure of. Added on December 17, 2009, 5:27 pm\Try scooping up a bit of bedding when yo wanna take the hedgehog out. this way, you won't get stung. Another reason is that, he/she is not used to your smell. Try putting your worn tshirt into the cage to get him used to your smell. so u're saying the bedding works like a layer, in that way there is no need to use glove or cloth? Added on December 17, 2009, 9:01 pmQUOTE(weiwei89 @ Dec 17 2009, 05:00 PM) u definitely dun do enough research... 2 possible pokemon always scratch them self, either changing quil o mite problem. urs is still baby pokemon, it high posibility change quil, so u will c lots of quil dropping. my hedgie's around 4months.. he sleeps alot & scratch himself quite alot too.. is i guess its more of quill changing? Added on December 17, 2009, 9:02 pmanyway guys, is it ok for my hedgie to run on the wheel for around 45 minutes? cause he does so... lol This post has been edited by samsoong: Dec 17 2009, 09:02 PM

QUOTE(weiwei89 @ Dec 17 2009, 11:05 PM) u saw mite? impossible... cos size of mite is jus like the diameter of hair onli. My hidebox is make from icecream pail too, is it urs still got ice cream smell? ther is a trick if u wan ur pokemon go inside the house, although is bit dirty, try to use its poop stick a bit inside the side of door of the ice cream pail. he o she will go in bcos of the poop smell... i mean a bit, is really a bit onli... possible still under quil changing, if u not sure, try to find a black cloth, n let ur pokemon scatch on the balck cloth, then if got smthing like hair diameter size thingy moving on the cloth, u better watch out, it is mite... u try more few time, mayb next time he o she will bite ur hand cos he o she will though hand = got food = bite!!! if its mite, how often do they scratch?

QUOTE(wookp @ Dec 18 2009, 01:36 AM) yeah...the bedding works as a layer between your hand and the hedgie. after he/she unfurls herself in your hands...you can remove the bedding slowly..do it a few more times and you can just scoop him/her up at ease ok got it... oh another thing, my hedgie seems to be sneezing... why ah?

Respiratory infection. Signs include sneezing, wheezing, lethargy, nasal or eye discharge, or difficulty breathing. Various bacteria may cause this type of infection. Treatment is with antibiotics. You can minimize your hedgehog’s risk of respiratory disease by providing her with a warm, clean cage; avoiding the use of wood-chip beddings; and feeding her a balanced diet. QUOTE(wookp @ Dec 23 2009, 01:53 PM) not necessarily you have to bathe him/her. You just need to wet the feet a bit and brush it wit a toothbrush. I think when hedgies run, they cannot control their anus...THat's why even though it's litter trained, it still poos on the wheel. but i never got the chance to touch his feet, he keeps hiding it... -.-
