i use fleece.

You can use recycled pelleted paper bedding such as BreederCelect or Back2Nature.

Back to nature is good, becoz softer compare to BC, so it's better for ur hedgie feet when they step on it.

Both are safe for animals, and environmental friendly.

If you hav calcium powder, u can sprinkle on them half and hour before you feed.. biggrin.gif I am practising this..

It dpends on how much calcium u give lo..but giving too much also not good...

Phosphorus is something dangerous. Closely related to calcium.

When body absorb 1g of phosphorus, it will take away 1g of calcium during the process. This happen in animals and human as well.

That is why feeding high phosphorus for long period lead to calcium deficiency disease.

We always encourage people to feed high quality cat food such as RC, Inova Evo, Eagle Pack, California Natural and etc...

Other cheaper one such as Iams, Friskies.... i don think it is good for ur hedgie.

Jitshiong, i think u r saying liver fatty problem..

Some people said science plan and iams is good kibbles and good food for hedgehog... and some said it's bad...

But research carried out show feeding Iams causes serious liver problem in hedgie...

So, why do we wan to take the risk...right?

When he is bout one year old i think can swap d...

But however, age is not really the only determinant for u to swap the diet.. The body size of ur hedgie too..If ur hedgie is too fat, avoid feeding high protein kibbles..change to lower one..

i also agreed that is champagne color.

As livingmonolith said, snowflake is not a particular color... it's a one of the color category. The differences of snowflake with others is snowflake hedgie quills are mixture of banded and non banded. The others mostly are non-banded and only abit are banded

My Kenken shud be falls in snowflake color category, and his color is chocolate snowflakes..

U can feed other insects such as crickets and so...But we cant get live homebred grasshopper here in malaysia.

Or u can get urself Bugsy Small Carnivore Food and feed to them. Much better than feeding mealworms.
