What model PS3 joystick?
And I think the easiest way for you to find out that is to just...plug it into your PC and see rather than asking us. |

The biggest difference for me is that even when there is lag, it'll hardly result in a dc.
There are exceptions, but those are rare. |

QUOTE(boogalogist @ Jul 12 2009, 02:33 AM) There were some Abel players around...but most of them switched main to other chars...like Ryu/Sagat/Boxer. Strange, I've been playing Boxer/Ryu/Sagat and have been switching over to Abel.GGs with Brastel again! Sorry had to leave...wife couldn't with the joystick sounds. Though I don't like him as much as others at the moment. I just like his reset mixup shenanigans. |

brastel's a special case, he's in Japan at the moment.
I played with him 5 of the laggiest matches I ever played with SFIV online. I guess that's still better than random dc's nowadays. |

FA the Sonic Boom.
Block the first hit of the sweep, FA the second. Or, block the first hit of the sweep, jump and attack. Or, block the first hit of the sweep, throw. Or, block the first hit of the sweep, Ultra. Et cetera. |

I like that there are some cocky figures though.
Gotta have a "good" guy and a "bad" guy to hype things up. |

Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 uses a Sanwa stick and Hori buttons, which is decent.
Not sure about the MadCatz. I've played both, I prefer Hori out of the box. It's also easy to mod, is cheaper and most importantly for me, has full compatibility with PCs as far as I know. |

Awesome looking stick and sketching ability man. Was that post you quoted of yours directed to the Mines tournament? I felt that I had such short notice to register and prepare for it, so I decided to pass. Location was the other factor of course but that's easier to prepare for with more time. And no sticks is kind of a bummer. |

Sounds like you guys had a blast.
Please inform me of transportation more than 12 hours in advance next time. XD What was the character selection spread like? A million Ryukens or a nicer spread and were there any decent Boxers/Hondas? ____ Quist Cammy, are you and Claw friend + Ryufus friend attending the next gathering? honky, same question to you except it addresses you and your group of 8. * likes meeting new people |

QUOTE(mDinie @ Jul 26 2009, 03:51 PM) Even though I lost, at least I lost to good players. I'm happy with that. During Penang Sony Centre tourney, I lost to this noob player. He used Sagat and I used Ryu. Keep spamming random moves, dont even block and I cant even do any moves. I have to admit I was still not a good player back then. We did PAWN his @SS after the tourney though. Keep visiting this thread and the other SF4 threads (like the Tournament thread and the SF4 thread in Gamer's Hideout).Plus I'm not used to the Sony's controller. Always use Sam's controller which is a bit faulty xD. I dont use stick btw. Want to but no chance. No PS3 somemore. If got sure I invest to buy the stick already. The problem with me, Quist and Sam is that we dont have enough exposure. We always play at home among each other only. We seriously need more experience. The only time we go out is when theres a tourney. I even missed the Mid Valley tourneys during the gadget and games convention I think. I only received that there is a SF4 tourney the night before the top 8 finals. We'll be updating when the next gathering/meetup is. If you want, you can always ask us to announce it to you on MSN, or PM you here or something. I did that with Kodanshi before (Mike, who went to the Mines tourney). |

QUOTE(Quistreous @ Jul 26 2009, 04:25 PM) Thanks for the videos, MasterAlvin! Loved them though I totally sucked! Haha! Well, if you need directions, I think I can lead you.Anyway, to reply to Darkstalker, I am personally not sure if we are able to make it though we would try. Do give us more information so we can start planning our journey. Not really sure about the roads in KL since I will be driving there. Haha:) However, we will give our confirmation few days prior to the gathering! Really hope to meet you guys again! The next gathering (this coming Sunday, 2nd Aug), is at Outpost Cafe in Cineleisure, which is next to the Curve. Do you know any of the following places? I could lead you from the following places, or conceivably meet with you somewhere and lead you all. - 1 Utama - Taman Tun Dr Ismail - Damansara (aka "Uptown") - Kelana JAya/Taman Bahagia LRT station - Bangsar Shopping Centre/Bangsar Village - Mid Valley Megamall Preferably not the last two cause they're actually BEHIND me. Give me a PM or something if you want my contact for whatever reasons. |

QUOTE(Quistreous @ Jul 27 2009, 01:16 PM) No problem! Thanks for offering me directions and thanks to master alvin too! Where in PJ?I am staying in Petaling Jaya so I guess 1 Utama is the nearest option. I seriously don't know if I will be driving down or taking taxi since its only around RM4 if we were to take taxi from our place. Haha! Is Cineleisure nearby 1 Utama then? If you have no transport, a number of us could pick you up, if it's close enough. I've driven Mike (Kodanshi) to MidV before for the marathon, and I think he and Alvin went together to the Mines tourney. |
