honestly, both the X83 and F81Se dun differ much in terms of graphic performance... 9600M GS itself is better, but i think Asus will use DDR2 as frame buffer, thus dragging down the performance...
in that case, F81Se gets my vote, afterall, the warranty is provided by Asus... btw, Centrino 2 = Core 2 Duo (T/P9000, P8000, P7000 and T6000) + Intel 4 series chipset (GM47, PM45, GM45 and GS45) + Intel 5000 series wifi adapter... F81Se uses SiS chipset, and probably Atheros wifi adapter as well... This post has been edited by astria: Aug 3 2009, 05:04 PM |

QUOTE(Perfect-Stranger @ Aug 6 2009, 09:44 PM) LOL... Intel indeed...and i am sure when Capella comes out, a lot of ppl will kenna chop carrot due to this Centrino thingy... since there will not be Centrino 3 anymore, and Centrino is used to represent the wireless adapter (not the whole platform) only... |

QUOTE(lee_what2004 @ Aug 6 2009, 10:18 PM) here u go... seriously, if u dun mind the weight, getting F81Se is more worth it... |

QUOTE(tehsc @ Aug 7 2009, 10:35 PM) em..i was considering n51vn n51vf n51vg n81vg f81se or u80v.. N51Vn for pure performance...my budget is below 5k..so these all reached my target..jz wonder which 1 is betta? N81Vg, F81Se, U80V, imho in terms of graphic, all will give u roughly the same performance... |

Centrino 2 = Core 2 Duo (T9000, P9000, P8000, P7000, T6000) + 4 series chipset (GM47, PM45, GM45, GS45) + 5000 series wireless adapter (5100, 5150 WiMax, 5300, 5350 WiMax)
understood??? F81Se is NOT Centrino 2 as it doesn't use Intel chipset and probably not Intel wireless also... my N81Vp is NOT Centrino 2 also as it uses Atheros wireless adapter, even though it's T9550 + PM45 chipset... anyway, dun get mixed up with the "Centrino" in the next-gen Intel mobile platform... by then Centrino is the market name of wireless adapter, not the platform as a whole... the whole plaform will be called "Core" instead... known Centrino adapters are: codename (spec) - market name Condor Peak (1T2R, 802.11b/g/n) - Centrino Wireless-N 1000 Puma Peak (2T2R, 802.11a/g/n) - Centrino Wireless Advanced-N 6200 Puma Peak (3T3R, 802.11a/g/n + WiMax) - Centrino Wireless Ultimate-N 6300 Kilmer Peak (2T2R, 802.11a/g/n + WiMax) - Centrino Wireless Advanced-N 6250 will be out with Clarkfield (45nm Nehalem, Oct 09) and Arrandale (32nm Westmere, Q1 2010) This post has been edited by astria: Aug 12 2009, 08:51 AM |

Added on August 14, 2009, 9:33 am QUOTE(MunDsuM @ Aug 14 2009, 06:22 AM) argh why cant they simply leave the u80v with freedos and slap in a 4650 or something of the sort in return >_< damn if the k51ab's with the hd4860 + the design of the u80v at under Rm4k, i'll be the first to buy becuz...there's already N81Vp... QUOTE(felix860408 @ Aug 14 2009, 09:30 PM) haha... yup... the Centrino sticker surely burn my pocket a hole... well, i suggest u go to the K40Ab thread to take a look...but yet, i afraid of AMD becoz maybe i lack of its knowledge.. any idea whr to check for its comment? and one more thing, the salesman today told me that, K50ab, he said definitely wont overheat wor... do u think its reliable? K50ab (rm1999) 15 inches monitor + HD4570 (really attractive) generally, AMD CPU are hotter, but not to the pt that will melt the laptop... besides, i ve always liked AMD's architecture... makes gaming more responsive than Intel Core 2... but too bad in terms of raw performance, AMD juz dun ve the punch... |
