Yup, you can take it to any Asus Service Center (or HighPoint)...usually they will use your date of receipt for the warranty date, if don't have then they will use the manufactured date

Off the display and let it on?? Well, hibernate/sleep will cut the internet connection because the laptop are on standby ..
