the backlit should be a hardware problem, so it's got nothing to do with Win7...

as for the others, u can either download from Asus or install from the driver disc...

Asus's Terms and Conditions stated "The upgrade order must be requested no later than 02/15/ 2010." But, it's unclear as to which timezone the date is so fixed  biggrin.gif ... Hence, for easy-to-remember n prudence, let's fix the date to VALENTINE'S DAY next year. If gf/Bf or wife/husband/mistress/gay/lesb  ask you want what gift for Valentine, u can tell her/him "Asus Win7 Upgrade DvD" loh  thumbup.gif  drool.gif

it's Chinese New Year on that day also... laugh.gif

alt would be Acer Timeline 4810TG and Dell Inspiron 14z...

i would say UL80Vt has an advantage as Power4Gear Hybrid looks pretty heavily optimized to max out the battery, and the Turbo33 technology which allows u to overclock the CPU for added performance...

there's the hard (but less trouble) and easy (more troublesome) way...

hard way is format and install whichever app u need...

easy is to delete watever u dun need... i suggest using Revo Uninstaller to aid u...

personally i prefer the hard way...

QUOTE(zhuan97 @ Dec 6 2009, 12:50 AM)
seems like u r getting a different batch on UL50Vt @ RM2999, cos the model i saw is:

-SU7300
-2GB DDR3
-320GB
-Nvidia Geforce G210M 512MB DDR3
-Win 7 Home Premium 64 Bit
*
actually, i think this setup is more worthy...

the GPU is better, and the rm200 difference is enuf for another piece of 2GB DDR3...

i wanna ask how to do the hard way if all we got from our new lappy is the Asus Recovery Dvd? I thought even if we reFormated the drive and applied the Recovery Dvd everything i.e. Windows Os + bloatwares will be restored just like the factory installed version?  flex.gif

Or is there an Option in Asus Recovery menu to Only restore the operating system?  icon_question.gif

Pls enlighten me guru guru in the universe!  biggrin.gif

HD4670 is still a wee bit better, but both have roughly the same performance, and Nvidia has good driver and support for CUDA as well...

as for N81Vp, i never suggest becuz not everyone can tahan the trouble of importing...
