hehe..i've never tot of doing that so far...
coz if the lan have no internet connection, what is the point of plug it into ur laptop? if u plugged in the cable, is the other end of it connected to ur hub/router?
if it's not, then ur laptop will still show u, 'network cable is unplugged' as per my understanding..
